What is your musical taste?

Honest question, why 1985? I listen to stuff from pretty much the last 100 years (thanks for that, Fallout) but, for ex, 1986 had some absolute bangers, so I’m curious what the musical shift was for you.

Country barely even counts as music.

I’ll listen to most everything else though.

My recent obsession lately though has been RHCP, who were a favorite of mine in college

My parents were boomers so I was raised on music from the 60s and 70s, so most of my tastes go all the way from today to the 1960s even.

You sound like my dad, but his cut off is 1972.

I got into metal while playing WoW. In Vanilla my favorite band was Nightwish and mostly the only other bands I liked were bands that sounded like Nightwish in some way (e.g., After Forever, whose vocalist is now in Nightwish)

In WotLK/Cata I started listening to prog rock and prog metal almost exclusively. I also like shoegaze and dream pop though

I mostly listen to 80’s pop and rock these days.

When i was young, i listened to heaps of techno, promoted rave parties and partied hard. I heard some music at a party the other day and omg it was awful, i couldn’t imagine anything worse than listening to crap like that now lol

I like to tell Siri to play a certain song then listen to whatever else it plays. Almost every time it will play a song I had forgotten about that I love and it goes straight to my play list.

I really like red hot too.

There’s a girl who does a really good guitar cover of one of their songs:

My music is all over the place but I catch myself focusing on Nightwish, Duran Duran and Bigbang. some of my favs…

i’m picky about what i listen to, but not in terms of genre. i’ll give anything a shot and some of my favorites (punjabi pop and hip hop, corridos y banda, etc.) have come from random videos that got me into stuff i’d never have heard otherwise.

You know, I’ve been looking for a way to discover new (or simply rediscover old) songs, and this actually sounds like a great idea!

Brotha Lynch and Artificial Fear. Metal covers of old console games. Weird Al and Family Jules. Used to listen to a lot of Ghost. I’ve almost always got time for old thrash metal like Slayer and Gwar.

Pretty much anything depending on my mood.

I like a lot of music, rock, heavy metal, classic rock, 80s pop and hip hop/rap, 90s rap, today’s kind of rock pop like Imagine Dragons, jazz, classical, dark synthwave, industrial, techno, ballads, instrumentals especially piano and drums…a lot really. Don’t really care for opera or country except a very few select songs over the years. That reminds me, I haven’t jammed to 90s nonsense songs in awhile.

Just kind of my rule the majority of my music that I listen to is 50s-70s. Not really a fan of much of the '80s music
