Yesterday I was playing and I landed on a different playlist…I came across a song that quickly became my new favorite song.
I couldn’t find the song with this slower remix and strong bass. So I’m going to link the music from the playlist itself.
it’s in the right minute (just play it !)
When this part of the playlist started, I was leveling my hunter and I played 100% better.
Then it falls into this other song and my God, what a wonderful share:
James Hype Bi**h !
what is your musical taste?

Anything, with country being my last favorite.

Lots of different stuff. Mostly german industrial metal like Oomph, Eisbrecher, Rammstein.
Heck I’m just listening to this right now
( whoops I had a video here but I totally blanked on it having bad words right at the start. lemme find something else )
There
I would love to enjoy some genres like country. However I tend to associate that genre with some abusive family members in the past. So I tend to avoid it. Which is a shame because I remember jamming to Garth Brooks sometimes as a kid before that change.

Some samples from my dump. Love video game music and electronic for the most part, some old school stuff in there too.

If you’re not AT A MINIMUM getting the led out while playing WoW you just don’t understand the spirit of this game.

I listen to a lot, but I’d say jazz/funk/hip hop/some rock.
When I’m doing keys, I have a chill playlist on Youtube with a mix of all the above, plus synthwave woven in.
Favorite musicians:
Louis Cole (seriously go look at him, all of his albums are on Youtube)
Greg Dulli/Afghan Whigs
Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings
I didn’t know this one, I liked it, I’ll probably randomly fall into industrial playlists now kek.

the " 1982 Space Program" reminds me a bit of daft punk.

Yeah just a bunch of rando stuff. I only found out about that song I was jamming out to because of the video game Hi Fi Rush.
I was raised with an appreciation for a lot of music - '50s doowop, rock, '60s protest and hippie music, classic Motown, '70s AM radio, '80s pop, but I’m partial to metal.

I’m pretty easy to please as far as music goes, there’s even the occasional country song I like.
Lately though I have been going down the rabbit hole of mashups on youtube. Some of those are better than they have any right to be (ex, ‘twisted romantics’ which is a mashup of Korn and Taylor Swift(??)). It’s fun hearing songs or artists I’m familiar with in different and interesting new ways.
Edit - Korn vs. Taylor Swift - Twisted Romantics - YouTube
Figure I’ll just edit the example I gave in here. I think what I enjoy most about these types of mashups is they’re weirdly good at indirectly teaching music theory… showing how, with much of the music we listen to, things like simple tempo changes show how even songs that may sound totally different on first listen share many of the same musical principles and it makes it apparent in a way (at least for me) that it isn’t when listening to most music standalone.
