Bubble priest in wrath and I felt pretty glorious. I’d levitate everywhere throwing sparkles and glowing.
I love the feel of fury, the momentum. Great.
Unfortunately I have less hope for DF, and based on what I’ve seen so far I most likely won’t be purchasing it, or if I end up doing so I won’t be playing Paladin.
They are doubling down on the worst aspects, and not fixing the bad. The fact that we still aren’t getting raid/party utility despite them handing it out like candy to other specs/classes is extremely frustrating considering our class background.
Continuing to be forced to use Retribution Aura for ourselves, or sacrifice our throughput to provide Dev Aura so terrible.
Divine Steed is being doubled down on with the removal of LAotL instead of fixing it, whilst also forcing us to spend 4 talent points which we don’t have to get current functionality back.
The inability to get our current baseline utility back such as Blessing of Sacrifice which is currently is almost impossible to get (unless you want to only have single charge 3s horse), or LoH/BoF which currently we have to make the choice of getting one or the other.
All because our class talent tree is so broken that we need 30 of our 31 points to get our roles throughput talents, and that 1 talent we do have free is forced to in either the 1st or 2nd gate (as we literally need all 11 past the 3rd). But as mentioned above, because of how bad Divine Steed is and no alternative (especially since now we might not even have BoF) we are pretty much forced to use it for an additional charge of horse.
Unfortunately a lot needs to be changed to Paladin before beta if Ret wants to actually be an ok spec in DF. We are already an undervalued spec because we don’t bring much to the table, and DF is taking what little we do have away, whilst giving hugely valued specs like Outlaw more with things like Restless Crew.
Nope, at the stage Ret Paladin is set to be a very unfunny joke in DF.

Dude… cata moonkin was INSANE!! And in mop?!!! We had everything we have now in sl but alot more stronger base spells so everything with star surge procs felt amazing. And aoe with hurricane + starfall!!
