What is your favorite class of all time, from any expansion?

This is an ESSAY Question!!

From any point in time that you have ever played WoW, what class or spec was your favorite, and why? Some of us maybe weren’t around at that time, so what is it about the class or spec that you loved so much?

DK Blood DPS, primarily for nostalgia reasons though. I’ve played WoW since Vanilla but DK was the first class I truly enjoyed the gameplay of, and Blood DPS was the spec I played in Wrath. The announcement that it was being removed in Cata angered me so much that for two years I swore I’d never play WoW again, but obviously I did eventually come back.

Paladin (retribution primarily) before they butchered it. Mained for over a decade.

Druid (Resto and Boomkin).

My Tauren Druid was my fave toon from BC to WoD then Blizzard introduced the new models and ruined her face :frowning:

If they could give the option of having a serious face on her, I’d main her once again.

DK comes second

In this order. Fury Warrior, Shadow Priest, Destro Warlock, Survival Hunter. I’ve been a warrior main for 10 years. I don’t plan on ever stopping it.

Druid was my favorite when I saw the wow cinematic, not so much in game, all my learning issues ruined that class. So holy priest, i can live without shadow and disc, holy is all i need.

Late Cata ret was probably the best version of the spec ever, good dmg outside wings, wings was wings ofc, had more than the 1 hoj button, good defensives, great mobility, reasonable offhealing.

the off meta stuff was always a personal fav so tank lock/shaman there. If you consider supported specs? meta demo locks were fun until Blizz detected it. Frost DK tanks were my favorite in Wrath and viable fistweaving focused monks

Mists Warlock, all specializations.
But especially Demonology with Dark Apotheosis.

BM Hunter, because I hate dining alone, and get bored easily.

Granted I love it much more now that I don’t have to worry my pet will suddenly get unhappy and run away mid-fight, or that I’ll run out of ammo and waste bag space with stacks of arrows.

I’ve leveled Mage, DK, Priest, Pali, and Druid to cap, but they were a struggle because I’d get bored fast, and I’m spoiled by BM Hunter because of its universal mobility.

It’s also fun drive-by healing strangers with my Spirit Beast.

Favorite class? Of all time?

Paladin. Sometimes Death knight, if I’m feeling edgy.

I feel that. Legion just jumped the spec off a cliff and now we might as well not be playing a Paladin.

Only played since late legion, but I’ve stuck with FDK the whole time.

I’d say WW and Arms are my second and third choices.

For Classic WoW, I’d say frost mage. Had I played since then, I’d probably still be a mage.

Fire Mage first tier of Cataclysm. You want to see broken? Watch that ignite spread.

Nothing really scratch that itch as much as dks in wotlk.
Their talents trees and playstyle were just so unique and interesting.
And the class class got gutted in Legion, not that you can’t have fun with it anymore but it’s totally not the same thing.

Holy Paladin in Legion

Hell, even original Glimmer

I started during Cata, but it took me a long time to level up, so I spent that xpac on Kalimdor and in the EK. Rogues still had thrown weapons, and I love, love, LOVED them. I would go down into the Ghostlands around level 14 or so, poison up my weaps (you had to buy your poison), and throw my throwing weapon at a turtle 30 yards away and he’d stumble towards me, slowed and billowing green clouds of poison, dead before he even got to me. Then I’d run up and skin him, which as I leveled my skinning I increased my +Crit. I loved my rogue the way she was when I started with her. I tried Classic with a rogue but for inexplicable reasons, it just wasn’t the same (no belf was probably part of it).
