Ineffable Truth Glimmer Holy Paladin in late BFA.
Ineffable Truth :
Your Spells and Abilities have a chance to show you the Ineffable Truth, increasing the rate your cooldowns recover by 50% for 10 sec.
Glimmer of Light:
Holy Shock leaves a Glimmer of Light on the target for 30sec. When you Holy Shock, all targets with Glimmer of Light are damaged for 421 or healed for 464.
You might have Glimmer of light on up to 8 targets.
If you stacked enough Ineffable Truth, your main cooldown (wings) were on a 1 minute cd instead of 2 minutes, almost all the time.
That meant that if you were lucky enough, you almost got perma-wings for a while.
Glimmer allowed paladins to pick who got their AOE heal.
Unholy DK in Wrath, because the rotation was fun and it did solid damage.
Survival Hunter and Enhance Shaman in MoP, because their AoE was insane. Serpent Spread and Fire Nova were unmatched and so much fun to use. I would love to see Serpent Spread make a return someday, like Fire Nova has.
Guardian Druid in BFA, because it could be pushed to the limits so hard with the right gear/azerite traits/essences/corruptions. It was the only time in the game when I had over a million health and I could solo mythic 0s because of my survivability. It was some of the most fun I had in WoW.
Every other class/spec in every other expansion was just kinda meh, but Warlocks get a shoutout for having permanent infernals/doomguards in Legion. That was pretty fun too.
My main was also a rogue on another realm. I loved this game when it first came out. Because I soloed much of the time having stealth was important. when grouping we used headsets and only listened to the tank give direction. Back in the day everyone was a team player and no one bullied. Miss those days
Mistwalker Monk in Warlord’s of Draenor prior to the mana tea nerf.
Stack caster DPS gear, regain a full mana bar with 20 stacks of mana tea.
Do 2/3rds the damage of a DPS, and the same amount of healer as a full-time healer.
It was the pinnacle of the spec.
Disc Priest and Mistwalker Monks at the end of Mists of Pandaria are a close 2nd.
This. Combat rogue used to be a crapton of fun. Legion ruined it, and it has yet to recover. RtB was the biggest mistake, but adding the pirate/pistol theme was also pretty idiotic.
MW Monk in MoP was a lot of fun because it was so broken.
Shadowlands S1 Pally was also a good time. RIP.
Honourable mention to Arcane Mages in WotLK. There was nothing wrong with 1112 lol
WoD Gladiator Stance Warrior.
Dragonflight Fury is looking like it might finally replace that though.
Honestly?
IMO nothing was better than OG Mistweaver and WW Monks. Or at least, SoO ones. That was about the only time I was in a place to really raid and boooy was Mistweaver so fun. The stance dancing? How Uplift and Renewing mist had such great synergy. The eminence healing.
I don’t dislike it now, and think it’s pretty good, but honestly Rising Mist and Vivify feel like pale comparisons to the glory it once was. (The only thing I think is better is it’s harder to spread renewing mist and makes it more of a though process).
I was raiding shaman at the time and dd Challenge modes on my druids, so I’ll forever regret not really diving into them on Monk. Still it was such a good class. OG WW monk just made sense, I got me a nice weapon, got the rotation down and bam… Monstrosity.
WotLK Ret, MoP Ele and WoD/Legion Shadow.
I completely forgot about the original MW monk play style. That was the most fun dungeon grinding I ever had in WoW!
I will not write a thesis, 3 supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion, and a works cited, all just to say “druid.”
Well, if it’s been every “incarnation” of Druid for every patch since you started playing, then this answer is both admirable and acceptable!!
BC Holy Paladin
Wrath Balance Druid/Frost Mage
Cata Blood DK
Pandaria BM Hunter
Shadowlands MM Hunter/Holy Priest
No BElves in Vanilla.
Because you had to be. Your reputation was everything back before CRZ & the Group Finder. Word spread instantly if you were an AH/DB and no one would group with you. You’d have to reroll on a different server and attempt to play well with others.
