Ya I mentioned customizable mounts in the past. Not many people seemed interested. I thought it was a great idea to utilize the new equipment gear they implemented in BFA and have it customize your mount at the same time.
I can’t take full credit, as I seen a nice artwork on reddit. Ultimately it all really reminds me of Chocobos from FF14. Expect with WoW it doesn’t have to be purely cosmetic. (I wish we could alter some of our current mounts appearances a bit with equipment but that might be a bit hard to achieve…)
They could go this route in a future expansion (patch) or something. It would really need to be a type of species that would appeal to a mass audience. Drakes doesn’t seem that bad of an idea… it should really be something they could keep adding flavor/equipment/designs to for many expansions. Maybe even do this for more than one type of mount species also…
I think it’s incredibly neat concept tho. As you could do raids (Another reason to go back and do old content.) etc and receive nice customizable features.
Anyways I wanted to add about Gargoyle mounts for Shadowlands. The Gargon I mentioned I don’t really enjoy it, because of the “mean muggin.” (Plus kinda looks way too muscular) I wanted to clarify I like my fair share of more “angry” looking mounts. It really depends on the extent of it. Like Antoran Charhound is one I enjoyed, I don’t mind a couple others.
I just thought it would’ve been neat to have a mount that looked more similar to Gargoyles. There is really so many different variations out there. Also it wouldn’t have looked awkward mounting them. Just use DH classhall Felbat as example. Or even the mount I said I did like which is Antoran Charhound. So it would’ve looked fine.

My dream mount is the original infinite drake model, both the standard drake and the dungeon boss model, not the model that drops from timewalking.

I like bugs, and I have the Krollusk. A giant mantis that also flies would probably be my ultimate dream mount.
My dream mount is having the Hawkstrider models visually updated to look like the modern mounts.
