Mount Equipment Idea

So guys I was going to go look up some fanart on reddit and stumbled across this somehow. It’s not my art but I loved it and it hit a chord with me. It also inspired me of why can’t they utilize the mount equipment more.

They kinda stopped using it. Why can’t be have more armor and it actually alter the appearance of our mounts? So take for instance this image. We could have a herbalism buff and it alters our mounts/travel forms a bit.

Trust me if it actually altered appearances in game. I think a big incentive would happen to obtain these equipments. (besides water walking) They should really help professions out as well.

So this one is focusing on Herbalism but let’s say for fishing buff (equipment) adds a fishing rod a long with some other nitnacks. Or A pick axe with some type of bag/basket increases the amount we are Mining. Etc.

Wouldn’t it be awesome tho if it altered our mounts and travel forms a little bit tho? Putting on equipment alters our appearance. Why not the same for our mounts/travel forms? :heart:

I mean that’s a very inspired image!

I’d say we already have the concept ingame but the applicability would be restricted to certain mounts.

An example of it already in action is the Mechanocat mount in Mechagon. You can paint it various colour and those will persist. They may have more maybe biological mounts which can be customised with.

Oh come on. I know people would love it. It looks adorable.

Mount equipment that boosts Skinning can have pelts/fur on the back off your mount.

Equipment that boosts your Cooking. A basket full of fresh produce.

Equipment towards boosting professions. Could have lots of sacks of jewels and jewelry hanging from it for the Jewelcrafting profession etc.

People love their mounts and for a lot of new players it’s something they really look forward to getting. Adding accessories on mounts but at the same time utilizing mount equipment.
