What is the War Within adding that is worth the price?

Serious question. What am I missing? Of course, we get the normal new island which happens to be underground this time. We get an extension of dragon riding. We get more talents masked as hero talents, quality of life with warbands, yet another dwarf race, and the same set of dungeons and raids.

I seen delves and hope this is a way to truly endgame gear as advertised. I am guessing it is just a stepping stone. Of course, there will be more story.

This really is the same stuff over and over again. I have already purchased the expansion, but I feel I just purchased a lackluster addon pack.

New classes? DH 3rd spec? Hero classes not just a tree to click on?

I hope I am wrong and we will see when beta starts. But, I am really worried and would like to know if I missed something.

more dwarves of course, everyone loves dwarves and the horde has always wanted a dwarves race and the alliance wanted a third one.

Nothing.

Delves maybe?

If Delves suck the expansion is probably trash, since the story already seems bad.

It is a standard WOW expansion… 4 zones, 8 dungeons, a battleground, and probably three raids over its lifetime. It includes a dwarf race as well. There is a new small group feature called delves but they seem like dungeons as well.

Do you like the game? This is more of it.

If you don’t like the game, don’t buy more of it.

You can always not buy the expansion and just stick to the old stuff if you’re not interested.

Apparently a few people actually did that during SL.

I’ve seen at least one player that was still playing WoW at the time, but refused to buy SL. They just did collections stuff and leveling allied races.

You’re gonna be left behind ofc, everyone is gonna be playing the new stuff.

New dungeons and raids it’s about it.

What is it adding? An entirely new expansion, just like every expansion before it. New places to go, places to see, baddies to kill; again just like every expansion before it. New stuff? Why does that matter, really. If you like playing WoW, the above is enough!

Low budget dwarves 3.0 with rainbow pimples.
A few quality of life changes that should have been in the game years ago.
Other than that… yeah… that’s pretty much it. Right now, it’s not worth the price to me.

But… addiction.

I’ve been hoping for a new class but we won’t be getting that.

inb4 surprised pikachu face when people don’t play the expansion and nonsense cope from the likes of Bellular making arguments like “It’s actually really really good but it just isn’t Warcraft enough”. Yup, that’s the problem, some vague indescribable feeling is the problem… to be fair it probably plays some role, but ultimately people care about

GAME FEATURES.

You know why Legion knocked it out of the park? Amazing game features. New Class, Artifacts, Class Stories / Order Halls, M+, World Quests…

People want GAME FEATURES.

As I said if Delves suck this expansion will suck. Straight up. People will cope ten ways to Sunday but it will suck.

Gotta make the choice if it looks worth it. Unless I hear better things when it’s released, I won’t drop even $50 on a filler xpac. I could explain more, but just don’t find the theme appealing and lack of features.

For me TWW looks great so far. The only problem for me is the new race being Dwarfs once again.

  • Warbands.
  • Delves look interesting on paper.
  • They continue Void / Old Gods storyline.
  • Zones look cool.
  • Some QoL changes.
  • I like Nerubians.
  • And my class gets some reworks.

I know my list is biased, but that’s what sells the expansion for me.

Did it really take ten expansions to realize this?

three you mean. since legion its been the same but expansion by expansion since less and less features

No, I meant ten.

What if we get to play the all new Void Hunter class :open_mouth:

Or better yet:

Align yourself with the forces of the Void and join their evil dominant struggle for power across the cosmos. Be given access to their home city in the void realm, earn unique mounts, and gain access to unique void races. Be darkness incarnate!

nah every expansion felt different prior to legion. legion was the best but it paved the way for cookie cutter expansions

I don’t know. I’ll probably get the base pack. Because it’ll have the usual stuff and I want to check out delves. Don’t care about playing early (servers are usually butt for three days anyway), and I don’t want anything in the bigger packs.
