I do know you can get the new shadowlands tmog set viva the 16th anniversary gift basket that starts a quest chain out in caverns of time. but idk if you get any pets or mounts.

when i go there turn ti in, it gives me a quest to get 40 gem items then i will get the new shadowlands tmog set.
That invitation has nothing to do with the Shadowlands transmog set. That quest comes from the Shadowlands purchase of the Heroic or Epic version.

I’m not wrong. You may have picked it up from someone else’s mount, because you can get the quest as long as you bought the expansion.

Now, if you did a little bit of research and looked at the links you’d realize that yeah it’s as they said - from the eternal traveler quest which is still nice regardless.
