was it wrongful, was it though? I can be pretty edgy and toxic, yet somehow the worst i’ve ever copped was a 24 hour forum silence (for using a word that -I- didn’t consider a swear but the forum clearly did.)

While I doubt the “wrongful” part, appealing it if it was indeed wrongful would give a chance for it to be overturned. Given Blizzard’s penalty volcano it means that next time your looking at a steeper penalty. And given 7-10 days this probably isn’t your first rodeo.
It’s my second rodeo, and I’ve had this account since mid 2000’s, I was squelched once in 2019, which I don’t even remember tbh. I wouldn’t have even considered the amount of me posting raid or guild recruitment messages in LFG spam either, besides the 2 times I accidentally double clicked the macro I had set up to post. Who knows, maybe the other fresh 25 Naxx group reported me since I had gotten a few healers in my group and their group had none.
I could def see something like that, I was thinking someone salty you refused to invite him, asking his guild to report you.
the chat log did not randomly link to a private chat between u and a friend unless your friend is the one who reported you lol.
You could always rant at the end of your ticket that if you don’t get back in soon, you’ll never give their latest HACK and slash game a try. What are you a HACKER god or something… 
I guess technically that’s using the LFG channel incorrectly. Guild and raid recruitment I didn’t think belonged in Looking for Group? But I don’t play classic.
Is trade even the proper place to recruit for a guild? One could argue that’s for buying and selling only, and general is only local to the zone.
Back in BC i got banned, then restored. Of course that was cus i got hacked and then he did something to get my account banned lol. Logged in naked, even destroyed my hearthstone.

I have no idea. But my assumption is that LFG probably isn’t the best place. People looking for groups and not guilds may have gotten annoyed. But again, who knows. Spam can definitely get you silenced for a while, though. I usually recommend once an hour, not once every 2-3 minutes.
Sure, but anyone interested in joining a raiding guild is probably sitting in Dalaran anyways.
There are many people in the game that would never even touch a forum, so to say I’m going to get decent numbers from making a forum post is delusional.
A lot of people wanting to raid are likely running heroics, gearing up for it.

Like seriously, how in the heck do all these people get banned? I have played this game for over 15 years and I never even had a warning against me.

its actually closer to 40 days atm for tickets. I actually dont know if blizzard just has a hiring freeze for cs reps waiting for microsoft deal or something but this is terrible
40? Remember when this company was praised for its customer service. Sometimes I feel like they deserve to fail.
if you talk a lot in /2 troll or telling trolls off you could find your self mass reported by 10 people and get a ban that way. best to just avoid it all together since its fully automated these days
