What is the last Boost you paid?

I traded runs with guildies in SM, VC and WC so I could farm the Chain of Scarlet Crusade, the Blackened Defias Leathers and the Armor of the Fang on my paladin, rogue and druid all through Vanilla and part of BC.

We did so many runs that by the time the rogue and druid completed their sets they could have soloed the dungeons. Assuming I had proper gear for their level at the time.

I agree 100%. I waited until just before the WoD launch when they were a guaranteed drop and paid a local Guild 10K per Garrosh Heroic kill for the ones I really wanted.

Oh if mounts count, then yes, I bought a last boss kill in, god knows what the place was called in BFA for a pretty purple dragon.

I agree with you but because so many rewards get removed each patch I can see why people like buying boosts. Especially for things like the aotc mount for the last raid of the xpac.

I paid for a Moose-only carry in Legion. It was from a guild advertising on the realm forum. I paid for it for both of my accounts from gold that would’ve otherwise gone towards tokens to buy game time, the characters were summoned in right at the boss, were directed to die in a fire and then blam, Moose.

What can I say, it was a cool moose?

It’s the only time I bothered with the process!

Never.

I considered it once back in Cata before LFR was invented when I didn’t have time to raid and wanted to see the story. But the amount the realm-first guild on my server wanted to charge for a slot in the raid was just
Yeah I just went to Youtube and called it a day.

Then LFR was invented and it’s now a service I’ll never need. :man_shrugging:

Never.

Don’t really have a problem with it for keys. View that more like paying for piano lessons or something. But for PvP and raiding it does get into a questionable buying a trophy territory.

I “boosted” a druid in SOM once for 2 gold.

I was skinning near darkshore and they needed help for the bear form quest. I know from trying a druid that can be rough so I helped out when the asked in local.

Didn’t ask for it. It was just in mail box later lol.

i’m kinda surprised , there is no Shadowlands boost , i guess nobody is playing Shadowlands anyway

No but after reading how easy it is, I’ve considered it. I would never buy WoW tokens for boosts though

A toon boost at the end of Legion. It was the only way I was going to get a Druid because historically I never could finish leveling one.

I’ve never paid a boost and never will. I’d just go play something else if it entered my mind.

it’s so easy with tokens but not a lot players are ready to burn real money for ingame rewards

but when you look at this forum , some people thinks everybody is boosted in the game because of the token

10k in WoD gold is similar to 100K in Shadowlands gold. WoD WoW tokens were ~20k, Shadowlands WoW tokens are ~200k.

From what I gather based on feedback it seems like a lot of people don’t really spend time grinding gold in game and instead just buy tokens

Would never pay someone to do content for/with me. Goes against playing an MMORPG or playing a game in general. Same thing with playing a game and using cheat codes. Doom gets pretty boring with god mode as WoW would buying boosts.

It also kills the community and gives Blizz bad data on engagement with content.

yes , i know some players who buy 1 token every month , so they can buy consum/foods/pot for the month

so they don’t have to make golds

Yea it kind of defeats the purpose. Instead of trying to buy past the system we should be trying to make the system better.

Never. If I care enough about the reward I’ll go earn it.
