What is the best way to include the Amani in the story?

So we know that we will see some trolls too coming of Midnight and that they might(I know I am delusional) not be as villains this time.

How would you work the plot to show that they can give a benifit to it when we assume the actual enemy this time would be the Void?

I am glad to hear some of you peeps ideas.

Slaves to the goblins and Blood elves.

As the Void invasion starts the Amani feel a deep of unease, the fallen Kith’ix under Zul’Aman reacting to the Void energies. As they look to their history, the Amani came to realize that the Void will strike them to awaken the fallen C’Thrax. As the prepare for the inevitable strike at Zul’Aman, recognizing that they need allies for the battle ahead the Amani issue a call to arms to the Forest Troll tribes, which includes the Revantusk tribe.

The Revantusk reach out to the Horde and arrive with a Horde envoy. The Amani are initially hesitant, but acquiesce with the threat of the Void. This way we get an inroad with Amani and Horde relations, while exploring the history of all parties involved (The Amani, the Blood Elves, and the Horde).

The most likely outcome imo is Suramar 3.0 (with Azj-Kahet being Suramar 2.0): evil troll leader teams up with Xal’atath, uses the faceless one under ZA for something, we have a rebellion storyline and kill them in a raid.

I think some Amani are going to join Xal’atath to resurrect Kith’ix, and the ones who don’t will appeal to the Revantusk, Darkspear, and Zandalari for aid. This may be how we get a forest troll allied race (pls Blizz). Then the rebel Amani will be a major faction during Midnight. The major raid of the expansion will probably be Zul’Aman, fighting with the free trolls against the void trolls.

Something something something, and then the trolls showed up as well, something something something.

Problem solved.

They are allies not enemies.

For now. (10 char).

If they’re going to use the Amani as villains, make them a force that gets things done. Nothing is worse than having a villain be shown as totally stupid and incompetent while at the same time being a crises threat that requires us to slaughter them all.

Give them a win, something that they’ll at least be remembered for. The expansion is going to be called Midnight, right? So maybe they embrace the void and destroy the Sunwell; or even better, reject Xalatath and destroy the Sunwell because they absolutely hate the blood elves and don’t need to make deals with an old god walking around looking like one. Carve out a big chunk of Quel’thelas for themselves. Unite the forest trolls of the Eastern Kingdoms under one banner (considering the other trolls live in squalor in areas completely owned by dwarves and humans, that shouldn’t be a tough sell).

Basically make them worthy antagonists.

Honestly it seems like most of Trollkind should just be in league with the Horde ever since the Golden Throne of Zandalar and Bwomsamdi teamed up with them. Like I’d probably try to just accept the situation if the Empress of Mankind and the Grim Reaper both signed on to a coalition.

And to that end I think it’d be more interesting seeing them work with the Horde but while doing everything within their power, to an unreasonable degree, to avoid directly working with elves.

This is why they shouldn’t align with either.

They already are by association/indirectness, anyway. They are loyal to Zandalar, which has a seat on the Horde Council.

Yeah they’re hostile at first and the Zandalari send you to remind them of their place. But so are the Sandfury, to a much greater degree seeing as that General is a major Zul co-conspirator. And they’re outright playable now.

I figure the only reason Forest and Frost Trolls arent is because they’ve that swole troll model for the males. Wish they’d give green and icey blue skins to the ladies at least.

Why not? They’re present at Rastakhan’s funeral nor are they a part of Zul’s rebellion. Unlike the Sandfury who are outright playable.

Here’s how I see it

Alliance and Horde have a horrible loss somewhere in Quel’thalas, they’re on the back foot or something. Rokhan goes ‘wait, I have an idea, lemme cook’ and goes to the Amani. Intentionally, he reaches out to Zul’jin’s (very unhappy) spirit and goes ‘hey, I want your blessing and advice for uniting what’s left of the Amani - in exchange, I promise your people Quel’thalas’ (the elves in the background look at Rokhan like he’s grown a second head) and Zul’jin’s like ‘this is sus but whatever here’s the champions you’ll fight, either you die miserably or you succeed and we get our land back, it’s bound in blood, lets go’.

So Rokhan and the player does all the champion defeating and various tasks to re-unite the Amani into a Void Killing Force, and at the end of it all, Rokhan goes ‘congrats, Amani, you are now a sovereign part of the Horde - and as you live here and are now allies to the Blood Elves, this land is all your land too. You and the elves now have to play nice, and you have an equal voice on the table. No Take-Backsies I have Zul’jin’s oath to back me up’

That’s all fine and dandy but would the Belves be okay with it though?

Lorthemar for one might be. He seems pragmatic enough to accept its the best option for everyone involved
