For me, it’s the purple griffin. They’re just such loyal, mythical creatures, and have this brave, noble look about them that draws me to them above my dragons.
They’re also pretty compact and can easily fit through small openings. It helps that they don’t take two thirds of my screen.
The white war talbuk. I love how it looks. My right action bars are almost exclusively mounts, but the only one that stays is the white war talbuk.
Onyx Netherwing Drake. I love him!
Now and then I get this rare drop or anything and like to use it but sooner rather than later my hotkey has a black outland drake’s face.

What’s with all the mount threads recently?
Then there are threads about Mimiron’s Head, Virtuous Stone Drake/12-B and the bee mount.
Edit: It’s really hard for me to pick a favorite. In one of those mount threads I listed like 30 of them and I still left some out. I guess if someone held a gun to my head I could narrow it down to the Grove Warden. Maybe the Jeweled Onyx Panther.
I’m more partial to mounts that fly and don’t have flappy wings.

Mimirons head despite owning the goblin mimiron head now. And I can already feel that G.M.O.D I’ll be one as well. Goodness I do want that one really really badly.

Probably because the announcement of the new mounts with 8.2 had rekindled mount excitement.
I really like the horde motorcycle from the competition we won ages ago, as far as ground mounts go.
It’s not as much a faction pride thing as it is that I enjoy the feel of driving a mount more than riding one. If that makes sense.
At least they aren’t the Water Strider threads

Definitely invincible.
It’s relatively small so don’t have weird model issues fitting through doors. Looks decent flying and looks decent while flying is disabled.
I also keep my utility mounts on my side action-bars (2-seater, water walking, repair, turtle).
Tangentially related …mount equipment sounds nifty … but they shouldn’t remove utility mount inherent abilities.
People will be pretty angry if their water striders now require an item to walk on water, or their repair mount, or ah mount, or whatnot lose their abilities.
We worked for those mounts for those specific secondary benefits! If I had known you would do this I wouldn’t have bothered wasting my time.
