seems like people dont ignore . they just report
u should honestly just get rid of the ignore feature cuz nobody uses it anymore everybody wants everybody to get banned i guess

Then I report them on top of it.
Honestly? To me, you sound like someone mad over the fact that they got reported.
If so, bear in mind that the fact that there is an ignore feature doesn’t mean you get free reign to say whatever the hell you want. People can ignore you for any number of reasons, but if you wind up doing something that’s potentially actionable, then don’t be surprised if you get actioned.

I ignore lots of people. Especially if you’re using an add-on that spams the chat with a bunch of irrelevant crap. As soon as I see it i ignore.

My ignore list has grown exponentially due to the public work order changes in 10.1. It has it’s uses, but tbh, I’d love having the option to report most of them as scammers built into the WO UI.

I ignore if I never wanna interact with someone again like having a really bad pug, or if someone is being really obnoxious. I try to only report when it’s relevant to report.
I think the world has me an auto ignore. Must be an issue if you have something they value or you’re an exceptional player.
Also, I’ve not been doing much PvP. Solo shuffle brought out some of the most toxic behavior
In almost 20 years I’ve never even had a warning of any kind in-game.
Don’t do things that get you banned and you won’t be banned.

Hide the report button so its 5 steps to get to it to slow the abuse…then vigorously punish anyone who uses it as a downvote.
i kinda feel like the OP was talking about the in-game ignore function.
Same here. If I’m running a key and someone’s addon starts filling party chat with useless crap, I ignore them. I don’t need your addon to tell me every time somebody gets hit by something avoidable. If it’s the healer running that particular addon, it’s especially hilarious to start intentionally getting hit by mechanics just to see how many times I can trigger it in party chat before they say something (at which point I ignore them).
The one that really annoys me is where it spams the chat with everyone that doesn’t have food or runes and other stuff.

I will confess I was on the verge of unsubbing from this game (for real this time), but just the other day one of my old wow friends got back in touch with me and we reconciled so now I may have reason to stay,
I do agree though that the report feature is overused and some people just want to get other people in trouble, but just stick to the policies and don’t say anything wrong and you’ll be right
I use the in-game ignore all the time.
I only report if someone goes over the top in their behavior (starts threatening people, starts dropping N-bombs all over the place, etc.).
Only way an ignore-less WoW would work is if there was a toggle to block messages from anyone not on your friends list or actively grouped with. Not exactly a win for the MUH FREE SPEECH crowd.
To be fair you can be ignored and reported just for someone not agreeing with you.
