Hodir rep isn’t catch up gear? It’s literally one enchant which lasts the entire expansion.
Im talking about the price of the Relics. A lot of the prices are grossly underestimated. I havent looked at the relics on my server, but its probably a few thousand to get exalted.
Look at the price of relics on your server.
I know that feeling; trying to find anything that was both worth the money AND within my budget was effectively impossible; I found (I think) two items that I could buy that were actually useful for Ret Pally, and neither were really the ones I wanted to replace in the first place; most of my time went to buying slightly-useful gems and bargain-basement enchants, which might make the Elite Icecrown quests easier but isn’t going to improve anything otherwise.
That was my main reaction; I haven’t gotten a single Wrath faction to Exalted yet, and considering the cost of just BUYING the relics for Hodir…the tabard’s pointless.
On Westfall it’s maybe 15s each, and it’s a few hundred of them to cap the rep.
It’s blizzards mental midget child to bridge gaps that could have been fixed with RDF. Sadly, for the most part, it doesn’t work so well for people that do not already have top tier gear. If you play certain classes that are not top performers, you will likely not get accepted to the group. Blizzard makes about as much sense as a paragraph from the US president.
Oh, its all entirely too expensive. If I were to calculate a bill from BoE’s and crafted items I would probably be well into the 20k range. The shield making up the bulk of the cost at 15k.
What I have available on my server.
Tempered Titansteel Helm - 1k
Crusader Square Pauldrons - 107g
Tempered Saronite Breastplate - 51g
Indestructible Plate Girdle - 4.5k
Daunting Legplates - 112g
Spiked Deathdealers - 3.5k
Bracers of Dalaran’s Parapets - 1k
Daunting Handguards - 52g (got Dreadnaught Handguards)
Cloak of the Iron Council - 1.4k
Signet of the Accord - 375g
Titanium Earthguard Ring - 800g
Titanium Earthguard Chain - 1.1k
Titansteel Shield Wall - 1k (Northern Barrier - 15k for hit and expertise rating)
Armor Plated Combat Shotgun - 730g
Total - 15.6k - 29.6k
Relic of Ulduar - 1.5g-3g per unit I have 25563 rep left to exalted at 550 rep a turn in that means I would need 47 turn ins at 10 units per turn in would meen I would need 470 relics for a grand total of 1.3 - 2500 gold.
So many people on these forums think their server is the only server and economies are the same across all servers.
This is my second day at 80, need to finish the Icecrown group quests, get my weapon tomorrow, hopefully get a neck tonight and maybe tonight Ill hit 540 defense.
Classic wow players are not that target audience.
We want the game as it was, not as it was made into
no, i mean to add in retail. they can figure out how to rework the wotlk heroics and then add to retail.
If they are using Wrath Classic as a testing ground for what they can do in retail, it explains why this version of the expansion is so poor.
Quit messing with it, and they have a PTR to test things out, they dont need Wrath Classic to act as a testing ground.
Fake news. I wear my prot parsing gear on most bosses, a crit is not deadly
…Sheesh, things on Westfall are cheap, then…
They’re like 9s a pop at most on Earthshaker-EU, I wish they were 3g
Yeah… 100 Relics is 500g. I dont have to worry about it because I already have an exalted character, but there are certain people on these forums that need to quit with thinking all server economies are the same. Botting can send an economy into the dumpster because of the flood of supply vs the demand being low. My server is probably a little more realistic than these mega servers when it comes to the economy.
Its the server Old Blanchy by the way in case people are skeptical.
Just to give an update, my tank has just under 4k gearscore (which I assume is aprox where you would want to do H+ for the gear drops), with full enchants, and gems, and when shield block falls off, I essentially get 1 hit by the first pack. H+ is not a gear catch-up.
Here’s my gear:
(3977 GS)
Head: Valorous Dreadnaught Greathelm (213)
Neck: Heritage (213)
Shoulders: Burdened Shoulderpads (213)
Back: Cloak of the Iron Council (225)
Chest: Valorous Dreadnaught Breastplate (213)
Wrists: Bracers of Dalaran’s Parapets (213)
Hands: Daunting Handguards (187)
Waist: Indestructible Plate Girdle (232)
Legs: Daunting Legplates (187)
Feet: Tempered Titansteel Treads (200)
Ring 1: Signet of the Accord (200)
Ring 2: Titan Earthguard Ring (200)
Trinket 1: Rune of Infinite Power (175)
Trinket 2: Grim Toll (213)
Weapon: Titansteel Bonecrusher (200)
Shield: Northern Barrier (232)
Range: Armor Plated Combat Shotgun (200)
From what I read the gear drop is 213 from the final boss. So, my gear should be good enough to do this without being pummeled so hard. I’m fine with it being hard and whatever, just don’t call it a catch-up system.
Wish they could figure out a better way for catch ups than to keep segmenting the instance population by adding more + on to things.
