Blizzard could release new servers 100 times and it would still be poisoned by these types of people.
I’ve ran a couple dungeons but i stopped because the same types of people are in there.
Even in my guild I see the same toxic (hate to use that word) type people. there is really no escape from it, I was going to raid but I’m not so sure anymore so I’ll probably just spam BG’s when they come out.
Lava lash had a bunch of horde guilds (I don’t know alliance side, sorry) that regularly was clearing all the content, in single nights, maybe weren’t speed running them in under and hour or whatever, but it got done.
My old guild was just a bunch of people that enjoyed hanging out with each other, our raid nights were relaxed, and things still got done.
Plenty of people still do PvE stuff on RP servers, it’s not like everyone’s just off RPing 24/7 on the servers.
In my experience RP servers were pretty much like PvE servers, just you didn’t have obnoxious names floating around like some of the garbage I keep seeing in Nightslayer, and no one treated the game like it was the most important thing ever to get top parses and absuse every single cheese, and stack only the most OP classes for the fastest clears or whatever.
Alliance side was more active, and I can’t really speak on them out of lack of experience, never played Classic Alliance.
We had some crappy players, every server does, but it was tolerated alot less.
I reccomend it if your looking for something more casual where you’re not just treated by the DPS numbers you can put out as the only metric for your worth.
I did the top 50 u.s. race thing for years, it doesn’t really make sense, to me, to do it for old content that is already figured out mechanics wise. I want raid nights to go well and not be frustrating needlessly, but also want a place thats not going to care if jimmy want to play balance druid because we have to have as many warriors and rogues as possible. It’s just not ever necessary for the content. I’ve been juggling the idea of putting together a group like I did in SoD but I haven’t come to a conclusion yet.
The quest isn’t just for a trinket. What a weird thing to say. You can get a lot of exp during the chain and the boss drops loot. Dude making us mages look like idiots.
