What in MoP are you looking forward to?

I wasnt around when MoP came out. I started in vanilla and ended in wrath. Can anyone tell me what there is to look forward to in MoP? What about the expansion do you really like? How’s the end game scene?

Feral druid PvP! Also looking forward to leveling and questing. Pet battles were also kind of fun. Timeless isle was great (but that will be in a later stage). New mounts and new pets for hunters. The blue items that are account bound that you can loot in open world when you find them (they are going to be camped like crazy).

Challenge Mode dungeons. If you get a gold rating on all of the dungeons, you can get some nice rewards, like a mount, a title, and an awesome class set. These were time limited, so I missed them in retail.

From what I hear PvP was nutty for every class. Throne of Tunder was one of the best raids ever. The WG/BH bosses were open world so you just kind of show up instead of needing a group.

Personally, I’m looking for the new class I get to raid on, The challenge mods, and the warlock green fire quests.

I guess Pandas are nice, but I don’t have enough character slots for that… Blizzard give me more slots I’m a junkie!

Here is my personal feels… I am sure someone will feel different and blast it but I probably won’t see it.

Pretty big fan of most all the raids. So if you like raids you will be happy probably. Bonus rolls are a nice way to enhance your loot gains. Raids offer some challenge… they look good… and they are all off decently strong size and scope.

The world is also fairly good. You got world bosses, then dino island opens up, then the throne island opens up, and then the final island opens up. Dailies are out there to do. Rare mobs are up a lot more and farming them can net you a lot of cosmetics and coin. The farm is a thing to if you are into that.

A new class pops up for those that like alting or want to switch to monk.

Finally a no drama whine of a legendary situation. It just is what it is.

The 5 mans are pretty good too, although by the end of it you probably will hate them because they become something you kinda pound on the sand with most the expansion but at the base level they are pretty good… fairly short, quick, but entertaining.

Back farming older content becomes something a lot more classes can do as well which adds another layer of game if people choose to do it to. Missed that mount, or tmog, or just want to get some coin… no problem… you can do a lot more of that if you aren’t one of the few classes that benefit largely from being able to do that easily now and without the need for some trickery etc etc.

AUTOMATIC LIGHTWELL BABY. It’s a crazy raid save i’ve been practicing it the last few weeks and it is so relevant of a CD!!!

Being able to play Frost Mage and not be casting with one arm tied behind my back. :stuck_out_tongue:

Challenge modes.

The game not being dead.

Actually thought of a few more; the rest of the upgrades to Darkmoon Faire, the removal of the 25-daily limit, and something else that slipped my mind before I managed to write this post. :stuck_out_tongue:

Literally nothing. Class mechanics peaked here, spec mechanics peaked here, talent system peaked here.

Everything in MoP is a genuine downgrade except for the content, but what good is content if the game itself isn’t fun to play (see Retail)?

I’m out of here when the pre-patch drops. Don’t even want to play the rest of Cata with MoP’s abysmal systems.

 literally no one wants to do more dailies. And everything is gated behind dailies. Even JP blue gear is gated behind different reps individually! And since dungeon tabards are removed, the only way to get rep is to do all 87 dailies every single day. Disgusting.

I wonder about that. We have always gotten the final state of things as opposed to the initial state of things.

I’m sure somewhere along MoP things were changed from the initial state that required that.

Right now, I do. Just doing the Cooking daily, everything I can in the Molten Front and what I can manage to do in Tol Barad eats up the 25-quest limit while my Therazane, Wildhammer, and Uldum dailies get left behind, much less anything else I want to work on from older expansions like Argent Tournament or SSO.

Also, I seem to remember a “favored faction” kind of thing in Dungeon Finder that got you something like 300 rep with the faction you picked.

I was never a fan of doing all of those daily quests. It took forever and this round I am not sure I have the stomach to do it.

I’m looking forward to the new scene and change of pace to be honest.

Mop will need some changes to be palatable. Reducing dailies is a big one.

Positives:
Challenge Mode dungeons are really fun and evergreen content
Most classes are fairly balanced and fun to play
The raid content is good (I’m curious which version we’ll get regarding difficulty)
Probably the best PVP there has ever been in the history of WoW

Negatives:
The legendary system isn’t good. It’s a hella long questline that takes weeks/months to complete (it’s meant to be done over the course of the expansion). If you want to play an alt later on that hasn’t done it, you will not be competitive at all without it. Hopefully the devs unlock it account wide when completed on one character.
I remember the daily grind being pretty obnoxious.

I worry that despite how good PVP was during MoP, it’s going to be dead on arrival or shortly after due to the stagnant meta and how little attention devs pay to it.
