What if the Light Emperor does not exist on our world?

I wouldn’t call him a 1 to 1 of the emperor since the emperor of mankind wanted his empire to be secular

Seems like a mix of the Emperor of Mankind and Charlemagne.

I dunno, upon hearing about the Light Emperor my first thought was that it was more like Varis zos Galvus from FF14 rather than Big E. Blizzard has been taking notes from Squeenix in some areas, and this might be one of them.

I gather you didn’t understand what I typed, perhaps. I wasn’t asking if people liked the mists obscuring Pandaria… rather, I pointed to it as the repeated insistence by Metzen and the writers to come up with some magical reason why the place wasn’t just a normal geographic location. Magical anomalies and magical gateways and magical bubbles and magical pocket dimensions are “the normal” situation in Azeroth fiction. They are the default probability. They “are” the occam’s razor winners in Warcraft writing.

Hallowfall is not the origin of the Arathian Empire, nor the Light Emperor. He sent his expedition “there” from somewhere else. I’m talking about where he could be… and I think any of the options I list is more likely than just a normal geographic continent that does not exist from orbit.
