Yes? I believe so, I think he died when Yrel started her mass conversion of the orcs
So there is precedent for killing off known characters off screen. Unless you were being sarcastic before with the “shock value” bit.

I’m always sarcastic, it’s my primary mode of communication. But compared to AU durotan who’s only importance came from being the Frost wolf chieftain in AU draenor, Garrosh has more going for him on not getting killed off screen.
What happens to him is after that cinematic.
