i think he’s like kolo. if you play an easy videogame like wow as a full time job, the only way to stay bad at it outright is by having severe brain damage, which neither of them seem to have. but in both cases we’re talking about a player who learns the meta slowly and has to be dragged kicking and screaming into making the right plays instead of picking up meta changes immediately. i’ve played with scads of duelists and regular old gladiators who are way better at predicting what enemy players will do and finding creative things to do about it than metaphors, but, yknow, he puts in the work.

I’ve always thought people like Metaphorz, Kolo and Maldiva were dogsh1t at the game for the time they put into it considering all three of them play it as a full-time job like you said, especially compared to the european players.

Ya but saying the euros don’t put in lots of hours is ridiculous. Europeans are easily the most hardcore and most dedicated players I’ve ever seen. On private servers I played on there would be primarily euro premades that would basically just do wsg/ab over and over again for 16 hours a day. Then the server would die/shut down and they would no-life to 60 and hit r14 again on the next new fresh. And again. And again. “Scandinavian welfare” became somewhat of a meme because of this
Not sure how you can say that when all those play at tourney level above you…Unless you have and i just havent seen you play at that level
