what holidays did vanilla have?

I started BC so close but not vanilla and look forward to seeing what it was like. One thing I used to love was some of the holidays before they changed, mostly Love Is in the Air. Going around and unbreaking hearts, logging in each hour to kiss the innkeeper for masks. Was that added in vanilla? Anyone have a list or link to where I can see which holidays it will have? What about the old DMF rotating locations? ty
update it seems ListA was added in 06 so I hope that means we get it, is there any good sources of what vanilla had and didn't have? starting in BC and also forgetting the little things means I can't tell what it will be like lol.
Most of the major ones were already there, just not in the form we know today. Most of them have been modified over the years, but the actual holidays existed.
Good I miss the old ones, and we still have the new version to play on live if wanted.

I too am curious about holiday events , its one of the things I always loved about wow , I hope classic has some versions of all the major holidays .
holidays imo , are one of the exceptions to the nochanges thing I personally would love to see almost all of them added in some way to classic wow . but like I said above , holidays have always been my fav thing about wow .
Thinking back i remember winter veil and a few quest like saving some reindeer and killing the grinich and getting the presents. It was better back then the quests made you travel farther and were harder. You had to group up for the grinich and tag him before the other groups. That's the only holiday I can recall in vanilla but im sure there is more. I'm excited to find out.
I remember having to group up at SM for Headless Horseman, and the PvP that ensued.

Pretty sure it was Vanilla.

Unfortunately this was not in Vanilla. It was just Trick or Treating with the Innkeepers to get customs, wands and candy.

I do wish they would add him in though.

That's unfortunate. Putting out fires is now part of my Halloween tradition.
I remember the old darkmoon fair was just in the open world and only had a few tents in goldshire and thunderbluff. The strongman quest was still there but instead of just killing mobs you had to collect scorpid stingers and stuff like that.

If you guys remember brewfest last month thats about what darkmoon fair looked like in vanilla.

Wow, great find man!
was there a mirror to veteran's day in vanilla WoW?
Thanks Kendamd for that list find!
Remember..for Darkmoon we had to travel because it alternated between Alliance zone and Horde zone.
Just remember that a lot of these events are watered down versions of what they currently are, with most of them being very small, as some people mentioned. The Darkmoon Faire was basically nothing, except for the little fortune teller guy, the few(small) tents, and such, with the cannon.
Speaking of Darkmoon Faire, were the deck introduced in Vanilla or TBC? I can't seem to remember, but I do remember working hard to assemble mine and being very proud of my epic trinket.
