this game is never the same nor will it be.
this game is soooo sad now it has fully taken the troll outta me. i just feel an empty sadness. i was blessed with so many people that made a difference in this game and stood out in there own ways to make a path for themselves nowadays its just so pathetic and sad everyone is sooo bad at this game i cant even compete anymore

It’s not that players are bad. Blizzard has basically told them to play mage, lock, dh or guardian. The meta is evolving organically.
A lot of the players playing these specs are bad but they don’t know they’re bad cause their spec is idiot-proof. Their newfound “success” isn’t because they got better

I quit playing Arena awhile ago, still nice to chat with some people on the forums, but the game itself. Yeah it’s long, long gone from what it used to be and I do not ever see it coming back in that same enjoyable state ever again. It’s much too far gone, there’d need to be so many changes that’d completely alter its design at this point.
Better to just find something you do enjoy!

What happened was blizzard purposely tried to shift pvp into a low barrier of entry easy to follow game in a sad attempt to succeed in modern esports. It failed horribly and in the process they butchered a widely loved aspect of the game and have refused to attempt any fixes and flat out ignore this aspect of the game. I mean 8.3 is a perfect example there are zero and I mean zero pvp changes and that patch comes out next month. Has there ever been an expansion where there have been zero pvp or meta changes for 2 years amidst multiple patches?
Season 1’s high participation showed the low barrier to entry was good for the game. The issue is that they’ve simply abandoned PvP since.
