Ah yes and I forgot that you decide for everyone else too so clearly they didn’t sell any tokens to people scared of missing out on something that is leaving the game for no reason but to make people scared of missing out and feeling the need to buy gold because they don’t know how to make ingame gold well…
When the Brutosaur was first added, was it known that it would be limited time or was that a bombshell dropped later on which caused a scramble to come up with the gold?
I ponder if they regretted releasing it in the first place. Every convenience added makes the game that much easier, and that’s not always a good thing and can reduce the enjoyment of the game overall.
Never said I did but good try. People should show some self control. If they can’t with pixels, they have more problems than WoW tokens.
IIRC they said it was only going to be in game for BFA very early, doesn’t change that 5mill is beyond most players and would push anyone scared of missing out on it to buying tokens.
5 million gold for people too lazy to go to the auction house 1-2 times a day. The yak mount is at least useful. I thought everybody knew it was time limited. I didn’t care and I knew.
You have something far more valuable, 5 million gold and a lesson to read patch notes
Like most of the dinosaurs it was wiped out when a meteor impacted the earth causing a mass extinction event.
Sorry OP, it’s gone, time to do the BMAH grind if you want, means you’ll probably need more gold. And keep close watch on when it’s up.
It’s the only reason why I grinded it out pre-shadowlands. Would of done it earlier but wrote it off for a long time.
It created a huge influx of play-time, commitment etc that I haven’t ever seen so I can guess they ‘intentionally’ announced it’s removal for the reason I gave or didn’t realize so many would grind it out to try to get it.
They should announce it DAY1. Doing it halfway through is doing your player base dirty I think.
It was only purchasable in BFA. You can still get it but only via black market crates at a very low % chance.
Low hanging troll. Like you saved all that gold and didn’t know the mount was this expansion only. I wasn’t even going for the mount and I knew.
The mount is a gold sink. There’s nothing scummy about it. It’s just to take gold out of the economy.
If it was intended as a gold sink it would never be removed.
It was about pushing people that are not as good at making gold in game to buy gold tokens to get more money out of them.
Feels like every other thread is a low energy bait these days.
The fact it was going to be removed drove people who wanted one to buy it before it was gone, instead of waiting until later. The will just add another gold sink in SLs later on.
Extinct
If blizzard wasn’t selling in game gold for real world money this would hold up… when they excitedly take hundreds from players wanting this limited time “gold sink” they are playing to people’s impulse control.
Really by the logic I’ve seen over and over in this thread I can only assume most of you want to remove all regulation on casinos as it should be up to people to control themselves right?
old republic doesnt keep to its word about time limited items. they always bring back old sub rewards previously believed to be limited time only forever
Really? Like what?
Shae Vizla, the renowned Bounty Hunter the most powerful DPS companion in the game
HK-55 Bonus Chapter required 8 months of active subscription time to obtain during the content drought of KOTFE
those are the two huge ones off the top of my head
Also, they announced it was going away like immediately after everyone got their Stimulus Checks. Half the Brutosaurs you see are bought with those.
Oh right, because they are the only source out there selling gold right? Tokens are just a safer method of buying gold but even without it people would still buy it. Just instead from some shady RMT site.
Personally, I think people should be responsible for their own damn actions. Now I understand people have gambling issues but this is not that. There are plenty of things in RL that are sold on a limited time basis.
