What happened to stealth?

Its also affecting Mage invisibility, I think. I have had a lot of the same problems mentioned by others as well.

Did you lose the code from Legion? because it worked just fine in Legion.

I don’t know how people can stand to quest in Nazjatar without camo (or stealth) and feign death. I’m wearing those two abilities out just to get done without having to kill 20 extra NPC’s every quest.

20 sounds like a low minimum. For some of these you are stuck killing hordes of NPCs. So sick of killing turtles and crabs. The development team seems to really hate animals.

Every single time.

The dumb NPCs follow me and stand next to me while they let themselves be killed. NPC cleave will cancel out the stealth/vanish/shadowmeld and leave me with nothing but a cooldown. With feign death the cleave can kill you if your health was already low enough.

But I have also had the experience where the bodyguard dies where I left them and then the NPC will hunt me down hundreds of yards away while I am already vanished/shadowmeled. That does not seem like bad tactics, it smacks of a bug.

The team that intentionally buffed the dazed/dismount mechanic added animals that you could accidentally tab-target and engage in combat with? Never! / sarc

Not as sadistic as the quest that has you kill dozens of animals in Kul Tiras so some idiot can make a sweater for his dog.

It’s more than the body guard. Body guards have always increased the odds of a hiccup, but the one thing that’s been REALLY getting to me, are those objects that spout out the AOEs in Naz (I forget the name of them). Just being in their proximity dispels stealth. Honestly, I haven’t gotten this mad at WoW in a long time.

I spilled coffee on it. My bad

Drop a poison bomb and watch every crab in an 80yd radius suddenly become angry with you… Those crabs will sometimes chain aggro because you aggro one within 5yds of another, and he was within 5yds from another, and he was within 5yds of yet another, so on and so forth until you have a dozen crabs on you because you attacked one. The struggle is real.

This is a very old bug (like TBC old) that was fixed a long time ago and now it’s back. Have to be quick on the draw to feign death and have your pet play dead to get the flying mob to reset properly.

Yup. I’m sneaking around on my rogue when suddenly my bodyguard suddenly takes off running over a small hill and decides to attack these elite naga. Knocks me right out of stealth. So I draw aggro and hit vanish. Nope, they still come after me and I get unstealthed. chain dazed until I die. Thanks a lot, bodyguard. hahaha.

Will that include hunter Feign Death also?

My “bodyguard” has never once FD’d with me.

But shadowmeld always has worked (so far).

those damned drowned orbs or whatever? i hate them. they don’t even have to hit you to kick you from stealth. merely being targeted by one is enough.

There are slow ticks you get from som mobs too that cause your stealth to fall off too Ive noticed.

This seems to have become the standard answer for everything.

The bodyguard has made my Shadowmeld and Feign Death useless.

And it wasn’t like this in Legion, or even WoD, when I had a bodyguard with me all the time.

Blizz must have messed up the aggroing code with 8.2.

I’d be fine if they stopped giving us toys and items we need to use that lock us in combat for 5 seconds despite the fact that the function of the item has nothing to do with combat.

Example: Mother’s skinning knife.

I just assumed that they’re trolling us with all the ways we can lose stealth now.

The mobs seem to be following me an insane distance as well. A hydra just chased me 1/3 of the way across Nazjatar and I only escaped by jumping into a Tortollan Shellraiser (how is that not trademarked to TMNT?).

Apparently my pet was killed while I was in the shell too.
