What happened to my statistics?

A few days ago I noticed that the statistics tab in the achievement panel is showing 1s on almost everything from gold acquired to mobs slain.

I’m curious as to what happened? Is this a bug blizzard? Can this be fixed? It’s really discouraging seeing this as I have been playing this character for a very long time, and seeing those stats build up as time goes by is a good feeling. It’s honestly near and dear to me. It’s like seeing stats on a shooter game just gone, your k/d ratio deleted.

I truly hope my stats will come back, if not, I might have to move on from WoW, I know it seems silly, but starting over again like this… no thanks, whether it’s a minuscule problem or not, this shouldn’t happen.

I suggest adding your info to the bug report forum thread on this issue.

There is currently an issue with the statistics tab that is being looked into.

Not only is the Statistics broke but it also seams to be messing with the count towards some Achievements. Like mounts.

I’m not going to say this isn’t possible, but these are probably separate issues. The mount count is always a little quirky, because it applies to the one character who has the most mounts available, such as a paladin with a class mount. If you add a mount, you may need to log onto different characters to see when the number increases.

Yea I thought so too, but I did log onto my others. Still the same 238 after I added 2 mounts that is useable by all.

I just noticed that after logging-in this evening and honestly I’ve gone into a bit of a panic. My main is 16 years old. I have over 730 days played on this character. You can imagine what those sorts of statistics looked like. They’re all gone.

I’m just glad to hear others are having this problem. I was worried I’d triggered some unique character bug that Blizzard would never be able to find and fix.

I’m presuming they still have our statistics data in backups, so with some effort, whatever issue has occurred, it should be possible to restore them to whatever they had been recently.

I can virtually guarantee this is a separate issue; I’ve personally delved deep into the mount count confusion in regards to the collection achievements. Those “issues” have been around since the “Collect X number of mounts” achieves have been available, and they’ve been discussed in quite a bit of detail in many other threads.

Just to do a quick TL;DR, it’s not broken, it just calculates the total in a very specific - and sometimes confusing - way.

The following thread has it perfectly explained in the final post:
