But seriously, it was in the game at pre-patch, I thought it was really neat they gave us the backwards running animation, but sometime in the last week, it got taken away. Why? Give it back, Blizz!

To ask for something better, of course, but to have it removed because some people don’t like it… this is the definition of entitlement…
Can i also ask for the removal of Hunter Pets in every spec? i hate having to deal with pets, they’re a pain and their animations look horrible but i want to play all Hunter specs…

I preferred the old animation personally.
I wanna say they also “fixed” the 2x sprint animation for some races? Like orcs used to run like a linebacker coming for you when you popped engineer nitro boost, now the animation is really goofy.
Could i ask for more details on why you prefer the old (current) one?
I don’t judge tastes, but other people’s “the new one is garbage” really ticks me off since the new one actually increased my enjoyment of the game about 7%.
Asking you because at least your claim was more civilized than most of the entitlements elsewhere.
I’ll be honest, them changing it back to the old animation without any communication or metric like “we received a large amount of feedback that the vast majority of players prefer the old animation” just adds to the piling list of reasons to not support this game anymore.
This is all about personal taste, not a black or white matter, and if a very small amount of complainers actually made it be changed just because they were “Karens” about it makes me want to puke…
I’ll just say animations are client side, so why not make a toggle just like they did when they added new character models to the game?

Why would people prefer the old one? Simple. I used to work as an animator (2D but still). Stand up right now, get in front of a mirror, and try to do a full tilt run backwards. Actually lay down some soft pillows and such first for when you inevitably fall on your butt because we just can’t do it.

Please just be honest and say you don’t like it.
Anyway, this already shows me this will devolve into a headache, it’s just obvious we can’t have nice things because of entitlement, have fun enjoying your bad animations.
If realism is the aim, then i want this “better” walking backwards animation to move at the appropriate walking speed too, why not demand that too?
