Why would we think for ourselves when we have streamers/youtubers to tell us what to think?
Next thing, you will be suggesting we play around with the talent trees, creating and testing out our own builds, instead of just going to Wowhead or Icy Veins and copying what they tell us to do.
Itâs completely ok for you not to like tier sets, but they werenât as bad for me as the systems that started with Legion and just became more and more after that.
Dragonflight does have new systems. Dragon Riding is a new system for example.
The new zones are supposedly very large. It doesnât matter so much how many new zones are added, but whatâs in them.
Agreed that only 4 Mythic+ dungeons is too little. Players expect more gameplay than that and this is not a good sign. Are mythic+ dungeoneers just going to have to run the same 4 dungeons for the entire expansion? ⌠OUCH!
Iâm really looking forward to playing a Dracthyr⌠much more so than DK/DH.
Overall, Iâm really excited about what Iâve seen for Dragonflight. However, I am a bit worried. Recent expansions have not been encouraging. Legion was great, but BFA was a mess and Shadowlands is downright awful.
Sure, Dracthyr look fun. But like, would WoD be a good expansion if it added a new class? I donât think it would have been.
:
Itâs not even true though. I dare someone to post a point in time where tier set bonuses did 40% of someoneâs damage and could be used in PvP. They couldnât. These tier sets are simply RNG borrowed power with a mask on.
I love dragons. And I love playable dragons even more. Before WoW Vanilla came out I spent 2 years playing a dragon in âHorizons: Empire of Istariaâ, an early MMO that was absolute garbage compared to WoW in every respect except one: you could play a dragon.
Dracthyr donât appear to be true dragons. Their body shape is humanoid, and they canât melee. But theyâre a lot closer to a dragon than anything else WoW ever had. If Dracthyr are actually fun to play, I would bump an otherwise crappy expansion way up in my ratings.
Dude take a breath. Calm down its going to be ok. First I wholly disagree with your sentiment about thereâs no new coming in Dragonflight. I just donât think they thought the very early announcement through. They should have waited a few months before they told us anything as Alpha isnât even ready yet I donât think. Beta probably wonât be seen until this holiday season. Then add 5 months to end of beta for release, so Dragonflight has a LEAST a year until its released.
Between now and that time Iâm expecting theyâll drip out more info we still need to knowâŚ
What class changes will there be?
-Can we get a preview of instances (both raids and dungeons)?
-And yeah that story thingâŚcan you drop us some notes on where thatâs going?
Iâm not saying any of the above things will come in any time soon (I personally get the vibe that Blizzard ainât caring so much on targeting a release date, I think they are going back to âits ready when its readyâ philosophy; given that â I would say donât expect any answers to the things I listed, at least not with any substance beyond a âblurbâ until middle to end of the summer.
You fill it all that plus , what blizzard has said some of the largest zones ever in WoW history, dragonriding, dracthyr (ie. new race and class), revamped talent tree, focus on exploration (which personally i love as I havenât been into raiding for a decade)âŚ
I think thereâs plenty to be had in Dragon flight its just blizz didnât release all the info yet.
Finally. Iâm glad we are back to Azeroth and thereâs no BBEG right out of the gate. For one WoW was getting a little weird, and for two its just nice to calm down a bit again ⌠similar to what happened with MoP that expansion started off pretty chill as well.
People bring up WoD but the only thing it really lacked compared to previous expansion was daily hubs, which was added in 6.2.
It had only 3 raid tiers like Cata and MoP.
It was light on raid bosses like Cata.
But people were crying it had ânothing to doâ by about month 2 of the expansion despite it being relatively the same as the last in terms of dungeons and raids at that point. The only missing aspect was dailies.
So I guess dailies and daily hubs is the key ingredient that holds the game together?
They revealed the expansion and didnât give lots of details. You already know at max level the same old rep grinds(this time using Renown) will be there. There is probably lots more they are going to talk about and reveal. Also, you should know by now that half the expansion content comes from the .1, 2, and 3 patches 99% of the time. I know weâre all used to the borrowed power grinding as âend game contentâ but letâs be real these systems are trash and weâre all tired of them.
Logging into Dragonflight should be as simple as logging into whatever class you feel like playing and just doing it, no systems to think about, just your talents and thatâs basically it. This is how the game should be.
