MoP only had 2 significant content patches (Throne of Thunder and Siege of Orgrimmar), had over a year drought, and we got WoD.
Trying to equate transitions between expansions means nothing.

The extra man power has been directed to the 2 new wow mobile games.
I was expecting the reveal to be more akin to the Blizzcon Deep Dives we got, considering that Blizzard has called their little videos âdeep divesâ and that this reveal was a replacement for Blizzcon.
No, you canât tell me that what we know about Dragonflight is as deep and juicy than the kind of things we were hearing before Legion came out.
Now, I guess I will eat my words if Blizzard announces theyâre doing a Blizzcon 2022 later this year to fill in a lot of these blanks, but Legion was announced in like⌠August? And then Blizzcon 2015 was in November. So unless around the time weâre getting 9.2.5 Blizzard is going to go really into detail like this and give us more of the meat of Dragonflight, Iâm skeptical there is more meat.
I would also hope for a Blizzcon or at least Blizzconline.
We may see.
But to bring back the Topic.
We know nothing yet.
There is still time to learn more.
And going by the recent pace of Interviews Iâm fairly impressed to say the least.
I wonât argue that, but I will say that Dragonflight is probably way farther out than Legion was at the time it was announced. I wouldnât be surprised if we didnât get Dragonflight early Summer of next year.
Thatâs the lovely thing about being completely jaded towards Blizzard now. Anything they say is met by skepticism by me, now (and for a while, tbh). Theyâve ridden the gravy train far too long, resting on unearned laurels, imho.
Yeah, you really canât take people seriously anymore when they start saying things like âno contentâ. Itâs just not even a discussion having. Theyâre on another planet and have bizarre expectations at this early stage.
OP just needs to quit and move on with his life. Heâs been non-stop whining about no systems in Dragonflight since it was announced.
Literally every video game has a system. This is why Blizzard shouldnât listen to GD.
Thatâs great if you really love DR but talents are pretty one and done for a lot of people.
Thankfully Blizzard fired most of the toxic employees that were known to be homophobic/transphobic and did horrible things to minorities and women in the company. Are you really trying to defend these types of people just so you can have more content?
Everybody has their tastes, but personally I donât think talent trees and talent tree analogues should be particularly âinterestingâ. Theyâre best when theyâre just plain old talent trees.
Even if it means less âstuffâ in an expansion itâs a net win in my book.
you canât make everything for everyone âŚ
We canât get back the pre guide time for WoW, where everyone would just pick what sounds good.
If people want to shut off their head and just put in whatever the guide is telling them, let them. more power to them.
But I heard a lot of players and streamers really excited about talent trees.
What a lot of people are misreading here is that Wrath of the Lich King is slated to come out this year. It hasnât even been a year since TBC released. What that says, to me anyways, is that Blizzard is not even close to having Dragonflight in a presentable state and only announced the game to get players feeling engaged and excited for the game again.
So what do they do? They pump out WotLK instead to keep players interested in playing through the inevitable content drought that weâre going to hit relatively soon. My bet is that WotLK will be out before the end of Summer.
We probably know nothing about Dragonflight because there isnât anything to show right now. If you remember, the general content cycle was expansion â Classic â expansion â Classic, and its been that way since 2018. Now itâs expansion â Classic â Classic again. I donât think that was unintentional.
Basically, donât jump to conclusions about what the expansion has. We know nothing about it and thatâs probably because the game isnât close to being ready for public consumption.
We do know at least that DF Alpha isnât far off. Blizz has said so in streams and thereâs already DF alpha builds on Blizzardâs internal test servers, likely for the friend and family alpha. Most things point to public alpha opening in maybe a couple of months.
we asked them not to add any of those things so they are not adding any of those things.
just like we wanted.
if we want a shallow, easy to make experience at full price so badly, they are happy to fulfill our demands.

You drink from a tainted well and you are going to just have to get used to dysentery, when their biggest concern is instilling a D.I.E chief instead of replacing some of their bad eggs, DF will likely be the last expansion with any measure of joy in it but you can bet your muddy bottom its all downhill after that so my advice is to enjoy DF for what it can offer while it lasts.
How do you know this? Itâs not even in alpha.
There is a progression system for the more casual playerbase that they have not dived into yet, that I know for sure.
