I see it as this:
Blizz has the recommended ilvl for t10 delves as 623+ and t11 at ?? (unfathomable challenge). Given that champ gear caps at 619, hero track would (technically) be needed to meet blizz’s recommended ilvl, so it is upon them to provide at least the opportunity to get the gear to that ilvl. Whether or not you actually need that ilvl is irrelevant because the player base skill level is quite varied. What some perceive as easy may be difficult to others, so the gear helps those with achieving things.
It takes an incredible amount of time to get all the gilded needed to get your overall ilvl 623 if you’re only doing delves. The people only doing delves know full well they’re gimped, but at least you can get one piece of 616 a week, and an occasional 610 and a couple gilded if the rng gods favor you, thus giving you a chance to upgrade your gear maybe by the end of the season. I got my shoulders to 623 simply because mythic shoulders look cool. I could care less about m+.
Maybe the real friends are the Branns you made along the way.
That’s a brantastic insight.
HI! I picked you to reply to because you’re my favorite.
Or you were the last one to post. Take your pick and I’ll affirm it.
I think I’ve gotten all I can reasonably expect to get out of delves. I haven’t played all that much for at least two weeks. I haven’t unlocked a single vault slot this week. I don’t intend to do any group content so there’s no need to upgrade gear. Maybe I’ll get on and max out my reputations, maybe not. Same with professions. But it’s all good. This expansion has been great, I’ve been able to play on multiple toons and have a blast in delves for as long as I cared to do it.
If delves progressed past 8 with increasing rewards, I’d stick to it. Oh wait. There’s an achieve I guess for getting through the highest tier so that I will do before S2.
Peace.
I mean. It’s obvious to me which it was. no need for affirmation.
I’d like the target time-to-completion to actually be the 15 minutes that they were advertised as prelaunch.
I’d like the difficulties above 8 to reward higher level gear and higher level crests.
I want more dungeon stories and more companions.
I would like to see Delves evolve into a true endgame pillar for solo players. I don’t pretend to have the granular details on how to achieve solo difficulty levels that warrant max I-lvl equipment but I do believe that should be the goal.
(Hypothetical scenario) If I was failing a level 12 delve repeatedly because it was too difficult I would accept that I need to run more 11s, farm gold for the best enchants, consumables and eek out every last edge I could find to try and get past the 12… I would be happy with that outcome even if that 12 took me half the season and there were still 3 more Delve tiers to go.
This would be great. It does seem difficult though. I feel like there are serious disparities between various classes and/or specs. But hopefully Blizzard will learn how to accomplish this. Delves have been very fun, and I hope to be able to continue doing them (since it’s basically all I do in this game).
Because it’s fun for those of us that play solo. it takes a lot of delves - a whole lot of delves to get all gear to 619, so there is nothing wrong with it, other than people who think the only way the game should be played is their way.
Crests to upgrade champ / hero gear should be buffed - 2 per is laughably low.
Delve gear should not require gilded crests to fully upgrade OR delves should continue to scale up with myth / gilded rewards.
Assuming delves stay as is from rewards, any ‘challenge’ should be beatable by reasonably maxed delve gear AND an ilevel cap should be in place at the max of delve gear.
If delves had reward tracks that continued to scale to the same level as other PVE content, then no ilevel cap is needed.
IMO it is close - but players doing only delves are at a distinct disadvantage in delves from players running other content - both in obtainable ilevel and the hours required to upgrade, the opposite is not true.
I hate delve week kids still cant get wster works right, never cc and stand in everything.but if fills the vault
Full Tier Max Sets and balancing based around 3 mans that debuff down to 1 player. I won’t settle for anything less.
On a side note, I like to believe my demand for 3-man delves are a direct reason for the development style of Nightreign. You can all thank me in replies.
Stop calling solo players casuals. It’s foolishness at this point. Call us what we are: the vast majority of players. We enjoy the social aspects of the game and do not have the time or the desire to do grouping. That doesn’t mean we dont like a challenge. That doesn’t make us bad at the game. Many of us are former hardcore or AOTC players who no longer have the desire or time to be abused for hours over content that is hard for the sake of a TINY, SELF ABSORBED portion of the playerbase.
If you deserve challenges and loot, we do too.
So what do we want? Content. Content that can be soloed. It can be challenging. Bring it on.
But also fun stuff, toys pets mounts mogs. Why not?
If the only social part of the game you experience amounts to being yelled at in discord for several hours while being near other players, then surely my forays into general chat, messing around in town and being near other players is just as valid.
But to sum up: loot. Ilvl. Other rewards. Same as you. Just with less toxic nonsense.
Then stop calling yourselves casual.
If you say so.
Made up stats aren’t cool though.
If you don’t want to be generalized don’t generalize others.
Otherwise instead of casual I will just call you hypocrite.
Solo content has to be trivial due to it being solo
It can’t physically be on par with m+ or harder raiding
Has anyone spoken out against that?
No clue what you are talking about.
Nope.
Easy content can’t have the same rewards as harder content
If your lack of self control bothers you so much, seek professional psychiatric help. OCD can be debilitating. Think of those poor mythic raiders that feel they need to run M+? maybe M+ should be nerfed to help them?
I’m fine with limiting M+ to 8 10+ keys a week. It shouldnt interfere with Mythic raids
Mythic Delves on par with the Legion Mage Tower?
It’s possible. The roadmap mentioned Horrific Visions Revisited in S2. In the original incarnation, Visions gave myth level rewards at the highest difficulty so the precedent exists.
M+ is trivial compared to raiding. it only has 5 players. It cant physically be on par with mythic raiding.
What do I want?
A way to progress my character without having to group with other players.
I would take this in the form of higher difficulty delves with increasing rewards. I would take this in the form of m+ or raids that have followers instead of players.
The point is, my progression should not end because I don’t want to play with you.
