What does T for Teen mean

Yeah that’s what I meant when I said there were outliers some things I think probably should have been removed but even more shouldnt have and its starting to become concerning

And since we know it’s coming directly from the devs, I do worry about any further state of the game. Game already isn’t the best of states, raiding is the only thing keeping me around.

I agree, there is a point…

But in the middle of a high profile corporate harrasment/inclusion crisis is not the time

We don’t know the full story, though. It’s entirely possible any of these were added by the people who perpetuated the culture responsible that allowed and/or encouraged the sorts of things going on at Blizzard. Some could have come from (or turned into) office inside jokes that were used in said harassments.

Ultimately these are all incredibly minor changes and Blizzard has already given their reasoning behind them. They’ve said that they’re not going after all innuendo or references (which would be nearly impossible, half the game is pop culture references) or removing player options. That’s good enough for me.

This has nothing to do with gameplay though.

That’s not your decision. And I can almost guarantee these were all probably running jokes around the office.

If this helps the employees to be in a more positive environment and they create a better game for you because of it, then both sides win.

Alex had a hand in almost every single thing for the last 17 years of the game, might as well just delete wow.

I’m curious to know how many workers are working on this and how many are asking on these changes. So if for example 500 people worked there and one person said damsel was offensive then I would argue it’s a problem if damsel got removed over that. (these aren’t the real numbers just illustrating a point"

A T rating means that the ESRB looked at it, and found that those things were in the game. It doesn’t mean that it has to have the exact amount of crude humor or suggestive themes that you demand.

Makes me almost wonder who “made the game” vs. who is “making the game”…

I’m not feeling like a winner right now

Ah yes, damsel and a yo momma joke were what was ruining peoples day.

Not, you know, sexual harassment, unequal pay, and unequal treatment or anything.

That’s because you’re getting caught up in a communal overreaction to minor changes.

How are you incapable of seeing that crude office jokes and references were very likely part of said harassment?

What some people don’t seem to remember is that r$pe jokes were literally mentioned in the original lawsuit.

Tell me, what crude joke could poor maximillian of northshire caused?

Just delete the game at this point honestly.

I don’t know. You don’t know either. But someone in the office obviously had an issue with it, so who cares?

Don’t be a child.

Maybe it’s the fact that one of the “damsels” is actually a male Blood Elf, or that he is literally just a womanizer? Maybe that made people mad?

Edit: maybe “womanizer” wasn’t correct.

I care, it was the best quest in the game honestly.

Don’t assume why I’m getting upset. I’m getting upset because a game I enjoy is taking a route I don’t agree with and its making a vast majority of the playerbase unhappy. Unhappy enough for some of them to quit. If they keep in this direction eventually they will probably cross a line and kill off what little community there is left. I don’t want that so it’s best to express dissatisfaction when little changes are being made before they get to big ones.

No it’s not. I guarantee you that the “vast majority” of the people whining about this will not quit over it. People don’t quit games like this over stupid political grandstanding. It’s statistically proven.

He’s not a womanizer, he’s just not too bright.
