I debated whether starting this thread was truly necessary, but I’m bored at work so why not?
As someone looking to potentially cycle level 60 alts, in full heirlooms to get the most out of rest XP, through follower dungeons as a core leveling experience, I have to wonder: how notable is “par dungeon” kill XP these days in WoW? I have no point of reference because I haven’t run a leveling, non-timewalking dungeon in years, and have recently returned to the game after a 2-year hiatus.
I’m aware that follower dungeons will both move slower than randomly assembled LFD and not have that juicy end of random dungeon XP hit (which is augmented in timewalking because of the complete absence of kill XP throughout the dungeon), but that doesn’t necessarily kill them as a leveling path in my opinion, speaking for my own time.
So for those that currently run “current” dungeons from say, 50-70, I’m curious: how much of your XP comes from just killing your way through a dungeon full of elites and bosses, particularly while rested?
I will know the answer to this from first hand experience in a couple months, but that’s a couple whole months and I’m plotting and setting expectations now! I would tolerate a rather significant hit to time efficiency to own my time in follower dungeons, so if the rest consumption set bonuses in heirlooms can be put to good use as I rotate alts, it could be a good, chill path for leveling classes that aren’t as solo or open-world-friendly as my army of tanks!
Thanks in advance for any and all helpful replies. Have a great day!
