What do you want to be when you grow up?

I’ve been giving it some careful thought, and I think I want to be a writer when I grow up.

Not only that, but I would also like to be a Pandaren Warlock.

How about you?

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Grow up? I’d just settle for making it through one year without a mental breakdown

This is what I wanted to be when I was in highschool. I spent so much time scribbling stuff down into notebooks.

What type of writer? I only ask because with Amazon, pretty much anyone can write their stuff and put it up for other folks to purchase and read. So, if you still have a passion to be a genre writer, you can totally do that!!!

Who knows you may turn out to be like Andy Weir (he wrote The Martian). Also… I ran across a guy on these exact forums who was a very successful self-published Military Scifi author.

So, you can totally do that Shreds if you really want to!

Whem i was a little I wantted to be a cop or in the army. Then i learned of all the crap they have to go through and all the ptsd they can get. My brother in laws brother is a cop and the storys he has told me of what he has seen

And to think of the story’s he hasnt/cant tell…

Then i wantted to be a cheif. When i got into the industry as a kitchen hand i learnt it can be a very toxic industry. Not to say there arnt really cool people, but the bad people just killed it for it. Love cooking tho. My roommates love it aswell caz they get good meals. I joke that there my test subjects when i “experimett” with new recipes

So here i am, still not knowing what i wanna do “when i grow up”, lol

If you’re still having mental breakdowns, you’re still growing.

Maturity begins with a complete loss of sanity.

You could be a cop in the army!

“License, registration, and Freedom Papers?”

I went to the California Culinary Institute and have some decent credentials for cooking, but I discovered that my complete lack of any sense of urgency is a deal-breaker. I simply can’t work in the industry, because I have no ability to hurry up whatsoever. If people have been waiting an hour and a half to eat, I am unbothered. Not the career for me.

We only stop growing when we die.

Why have you decided to die?

There no growth past a state in time or are talking about mental growth ,spiritual has a limit also .

Mental growth continues for life.

Spiritual growth continues until you remember that you are infinite, and that all the rules you are forced to live by are your own.

I’m working on a 2d/3d art degree and a software engineering degree. I also write well enough that I’ve won awards for and with my writing, including 12,000 dollars in essays this past year.

I want to start a smol game development company, one that treats people well and pays honest pay. One that elevates the voices and stories of those who aren’t usually the storytellers in games.
