They are the buttons that are usually on the side of the mouse that are for going forward and back a link in a web browser. What do you bind those to?
I mostly play on a laptop with a touchpad, I dont even have a scroll wheel, let alone side buttons.
I like binding at least one of them to an AoE. For my mage, page-forward is Arcane Explosion and page-back is currently Touch of the Magi, although I used to keep Arcane Orb there. As fire, shift-forward is Flamestrike and as frost it’s my Blizzard.
I have a 24 button mouse. Those basic side buttons don’t exist for me!
I make tip of the thumb buttons a forward movement ability like blink or sprint. And the further back button an interrupt like silence or kick.
When I used to have a typical mouse with a scroll wheel and single thumb button, it was autorun.
Target reticle AoE & interrupt.
My mouse doesn’t have any. I think it’s a handicap.
Autorun mostly
lol I was about to say this. Much easier for me to hit the side button on my mouse then a keyboard key especially with all the auto running I do in classic.
the bin.
go and get a gaming mouse.
When I play with mouse and keyboard( not often anymore) the forward button is my “charge” the the back button is my “interrupt” replace words as needed by class…
I see I have 2 buttons on the thumb side of my mouse. I have never used them. I play mostly using keybinds and rarely use my mouse.
I use the front one to move backward, and the back one to auto run. Yes, I know it’s bass ackward, but it works for me. LOL
I have a middle one between them as well, and I use that for mounts.
Sarm, good lord, what happened to your portrait?
I want to get closer and closer to you.
It’s an old troll mask quest reward from back in TBC. I think the quest was removed, though.
Promise?
Also, that thing’s cool.
Button4 (back) = Moonfire, Rampage, Kidney Shot, other stuff
Shift+Button4 = Sunfire, other stuff
Button5 (forward) = Offensive dispel, spellsteal, purge
my god you almost made me choke to death on a grape.
please don’t do that, i’d like to avoid a “food death” if possible.
…it’s a mask.
but it looks hilarious
I’ve unbound them completely, even while just surfing the web I find I hit them by accident far too often. I couldn’t imagine binding any parts of my rotation to them let alone cooldowns. (I have big hands.)
Those 2 buttons put in so much work.
I have them both bound to a spell, and also every combination of shift, ctrl, and alt bound with them as well. So with those 2 buttons + shift, ctrl, and alt combos I have 16 things bound to those 2 buttons.
