Cross-faction, probably. Maybe a new race. Possibly more new but lower resource races, like the Shadowlands ones.
Might be neat, Shadowlands didn’t many any grinds aside from Codex and that got nerfed to be doable in a day.

My wish list would be cross faction play, more class customization options, and I suppose a new class. I’ve never found myself playing a new class, but I think it would help bring some excitement and a breath of fresh air to the game for just about everyone.
I wouldn’t mind a new “Torghast” if it wasn’t the corrupted version of the idea that Torghast turned out to be.
An infinite rogue-like dungeon with ACTUAL rewards would be nice, instead of it just being another slog of a grind for legendary crafting.
One with infinite power creep so that people who no-life the game can be literal gods who one-shot all players who don’t play the game seven days a week and players who start late in the expansion can never catch up.
I’d like to see new races if they’re actual new races with their own starting zones to quest in, learn the lore of, etc. and are available the moment the expansion comes out. Unlockable allied races are for the birds.
Clearly you’ve never played Shadowlands.
The literal entire game is composed of grinds.
Archivist’s Codex was the worst grind in the game and it didn’t get “nerfed” until 5 months after 9.1. 9.1 came out in June. 9.1.5 came out in November. And you can’t do it in “a day”. The rift caches and other loot containers are on a 24 hour respawn. The dailies are on a 24 hour respawn. The rares only drop tokens on the first kill. In 9.1.5 they added more tokens that drop on additional kills but they’re like 8 rep and not 100. The 20 tiered Relic quests are all gated behind tiers and only give about 10000 rep total.
Haha.
It was, and I told most people I know to not touch it until they nerfed it, and with rift farms they finished it in like a day or two. It was also a relatively minor/optional thing, not required to function, etc.
I feel 10.0 will have them throw a lot at it. So I expect them to use ‘heritage armors’ as a hook for the cosmetic crowd. Doing more in terms of customization… I don’t see them doing a new class but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did one ~ it’s just that all takes time and resources so they’ll look for the easier route. They are also stretched thin it seems.
10.0 could also be pretty barebones unfortunately, though I feel they probably threw a lot of devs onto it once they had 9.2 core stuff done.
New borrowed power legion template 4.0 that now has a middle ground for what you lose going from expansion to expansion, retooled talent system as well that incorporates that in so you feel more whole as a spec/class going from one expac to another.
Dare I saw player housing to desperately try to win over the crowd.
Updating zones throughout 10.0
Ultimately they probably want 10.0 to be a turning point for the better but time will tell what they do.
I think we aren’t getting new class…and I 100% support that. We got too many as is and too much of the tryhard min max mentality has trickled down to even casual content where classes and specs are routinely discriminated against.
I definitely think we’ll be getting allied races for all 4 covenants. Quite likely too preorders for the next expansion will get to level/play them too early also.
I am pretty sure we’ll see some new class and race combos…namely undead getting “clean” models similar to Nathanos and Calia (upright, armor fits them properly, less decay). I can even see the lore snippets leading to a cleansing of their affliction via Calia giving them back their humanity and their natural connection to the light…paving the way for paladins to be a class choice.
I also think the light vs void will be the theme for the expansion and can even see a path that affords them a plausible reset (void wins and consumes us all and our new reality is living in an alternate world changed however the void lords want to appease us).
There is still, to this day, a worse grind in the game…a few actually.
The insane title is a far worse grind. For current expansion content, grinding avowed rep is pretty hellacious.
Archivist stuff just seems worse because there is actual bits of power potential locked behind it via extra sockets and conduit upgrades. Objectively speaking though, it was more easy to farm than the reps I mentioned.
Hoping for a new class that’s not bard or tinker, just to watch the meltdowns.
Spellblade(?)
Arcane Duelist (DPS)/Arcane Warrior (Tank), Arcane Archer (rdps)
without even joking I am pretty sure a big feature will be the removal of the male/female creation or if not have some binary gender options and add they them etc.
Yes this is not an important feature, yes this would not be a reason to be highlighted as a feature but i can see it as a feature they take the ball and run as far as they can because they need 'good PR"
We’ve gotten new race/class combo’s with almost every expansion.
If monk isn’t made available to everything next expansion I’m going to be upset. There is no lore reason that prevents LFD, Goblin and Worgen learning/trained to be monks. I think the only reason Blizzard didn’t do it in Shadowlands is because opening all races to Death Knight fit the theme.
They’ll be adding a ‘dunk tank’ to the darkmoon faire with Ion sitting over the water.
Folks are already preparing to race for the world’s first in this event.
The Tinker class. We need a technology-based class in WoW because of all the steampunk elements we encounter in-game.
probably buying levels off the cash shop.
It is just going to be some rehash of Artifact Power with a shiny veneer. We’ll probably be told that we won’t have to grind it but will have to grind it.
If we go to Dragon Isles, it will probably be called something like Dragon Bones or Dragon Coins… You know hip and unique.
If the expansion is Light vs. Void, then it will be called shadowpoints or something.
Dwarves will open a golf course and we will play a golf simulator with goblin made ball washers…
You already can…
