What Do You Think the Mawsworn by the Waystone are Thinking?

Guard 1: “Hey man, there sure are a lot of people running out and into that hole in the wall? Shouldn’t we check that out?”

Guard 2: “Nah, it’s probably fine.”

Guard 1: “Then shouldn’t we destroy the waystone they use to get out?”

Guard 2: “We don’t need too! We have that one guy that rides around a bear all day guarding it!”

Guard 1: “Oh yeah! What a dumb question to ask!”

Like seriously, why don’t those guys just push the waystone off the edge and into the lava that is right below it???

I’m more surprised that The Jailer doesn’t just have, like, thousands of guys camping the portal just waiting for you.

Idk. Thats a good question.

I’m pretty sure they look at it, shrug, and go “not my problem”.

Let’s not try to be reasonable with the game. You will ruin it for you.

Probably can’t destroy the waystone. At least not without some special magic. Like the ring from Lord of the Rings.

To be fair, tossing the One Ring into a bunch of lava was exactly how it was destroyed.

They probably union workers… So they don’t care

Funny enough it’s the same idea. All Sauron needed to do was build a door over that cave entrance in the volcano. Hobbits don’t get in then they can’t win.

As for Zovaal I just don’t think he cares. His army’s the size of the Legion, we’re not even denting it right now. Once he gets out of the Maw us stealing a few souls or killing some mobs is hardly a big deal anymore.

I don’t know; the nasty, tricksy hobbitses probably would’ve found a way to sneak in.

yes but not ANY lava…the lava from the volcano it was forged in.

they are not being paid too be smart op, you should know this

Sure, but the worst that happens is it’s not the right lava and now the waystone is sitting there submerged in lava.

Eh, they said that Dragon Fire would probably have destroyed it too.

I think it could have been any volcano, there just aren’t a lot in Middle Earth.

On topic, I think the Jailer is planning on using that thing as his way out, so us constantly keeping it open is helping him.

Pretty sure the waystone is indestructible and immovable. Created by the first ones(?). Also, if I am remembering correctly from our very first intro into the shadowlands, the jailor is testing us. We are the first mortals (live ones, at least) to step in the maw and jaina said something to that effect.

So, if the jailor wanted us dead, putting several hundred thousand baddies around the portal would stop us, but that’s not what he wants. Remember Andiun commenting that the jailor’s armies were bigger than the legion’s? (and the legion armies were supposed to be endless)

So, I think the jailor is testing us mortals. I think the jailor found what he was looking for in andiun, but we’ll see.

anduin sees 20 mobs in front of him and think it’s bigger than endless respawning legion

I’m sure they have a way to create themselves to be immune to lava for a short time considering Gandalf could take down fire creature all by himself - something that should naturally burn you to death by being close to it.

Can’t they already get out? They have all those X-Bastion people attacking Bastion and in Torghast, well and they try to kidnap us if we make the Jailer angry enough.

Not to mention, even if it had to be specific lava, throwing it in a random lava still causes it to be at the bottom of… regular lava. Pretty safe from someone getting hold of it regardless lol.

Stuff doesn’t sink into lava. It’s not a liquid–it’s just a really malleable solid.
