What do you people want?

The sad reality of it is, if you have a job, wife and kids, you’re most likely not going to play for the first week, unless you go to the new servers just made.

They can’t just keep pumping out servers, 50% of you will be gone in 30-90 days and leave the newest of the servers dead and the batch before hand just as bad,

They can’t just merge servers because of unique Guild/Character names.

How will free realm transfers to low population servers help? Scenario time, They make 3 new servers, People transfer from full servers to said servers, those 3 servers are now full. They can’t just make 3 more either because those last 6 will be dead in a few months.

I would much rather be able to play and then merge and not get my name or guild as opposed to sitting in queue for 2 hours every day to play and wasting time im paying for. All your other points make sense but merging absolutely solves problems if they release the servers in bulk rather than 1-2 at a time because then people will keep jumping ship to other servers as they open because they get tired of waiting on their server.

100% agree

If youre one of the player who prefer to have a specific name and guild name then pick an already high or full pop server and wait the queue times out. But i want to play and IDC about Names more than actual time.

dead in a few months?
right now im 8k in line my man

Didn’t you just make a thread a few minutes ago?

Yep. You did.

What do you mean they can’t ?
If they could do it with retail they most likely could do it with classic.

This is a severe jump in logic. And even if they do die, that is infinitely better than people leaving FOREVER because they can’t play. Dead servers later on aren’t ideal, but can be addressed.

Obviously people want to be able to play on a server that isn’t several hours ahead or behind without waiting in que all day. And, there have been mergers in the past. Duplicated names get reset. Transfers would allow guilds to move to an agreed upon server, though.

2-3 more servers, free transfers for guilds to lower servers, opening up to post level 20-30 after a couple days, and merging the inevitable, future ghost town servers is likely the only solution. Which is better than doing nothing and waiting for the even messier end of this fun, ongoing train wreck.
