What do you guys think of Dracthyr visage form during combat for non-evoker Dracthyr

The Dracthyr should have merely been human model with horns and tail. Basically, Visage form with tails. Possibly wings too.
Then we could at least see the armor that they are wearing and visage form wouldn’t have even been necessary.
Just my 2 cents.

Were humans around way back when Dracthyr were created? Wouldn’t they most likely be elves or trolls with horns/wings/tail? That’s yikes… Why would Neltharion(sni) make soldiers to fight dragons that weren’t dragonkin themselves?

I think it’s fine as they’re visage form is unique enough to stand out.

Unlike the Worgen, whose “visage” forms are just… more boring humans, the Dracthyr’s disguise looks unique enough to justify having a more significant presence. Also, the Evoker as a class is one of these squishy, mid-range, “pwease don’t come any cwoser!” caster classes. Thus, the “big hulking dragon!” form is… a styrofoam facade basically.

Originally the Aspects took primal visage forms like trees, animals, and bugs. Recent changes play with the idea their primal visage forms shape themselves conveniently like races seen years later. :robot::thought_balloon:

My personal opinion is I don’t care for the visage forms at all, at any time. I just want to be a beefier dragon dude at all times, so hopefully they’ll make them a little beefier but if not, not the end of the world. I speak only for myself and respect the opinions of the rest of you.

A lot of people have been asking for it. but for me some of the abilities are going to look really strange coming out of a human looking individual. I’m not sure what it is called, but the one where they ‘hover’, breath fire and move in a line… really going to look weird to me.

Honestly, I think visages are distinctive in appearance enough that it’s fair. Beyond that, Dracthyr honestly look so terrible that I could never bring myself to play one, so this would probably get me to try it out for the unique visage customizations.

If Dracthyr didn’t have that goofyass running animation, I would 100% play them outside of visage form.

So not a fan of people being able to fight in visage form? (For non evoker dracthyr)

I don’t think visage should have been a thing at all.

Why? The visage thing was supposed to play into the fantasy of being able to be a dragon, although admittedly Dracthyr disastrously fails at that, removing or never having visages to begin with would only undercut the dragon fantasy even more.

That’s a stretch at best. Not to mention all the visage has done is create drama and the demands for more more more. Almost as bad as the elves.

It’s fine, but I’m going to play mine in dragon form. It has been shown by other dragons it is possible to perform non dragon attacks in visage form, but if you were to do dragon things like flying or tail sweep then you would have to be kicked into dragon form to do it.

How? Dragons have been pretending to not be dragons since Vanilla, it’s happened continously throughout the lore and in extended materials, one of the most iconic vanilla quests sees you reveal a dragon pretending to be a human noble. It’s the quintessential warcraft dragon fantasy.

What? I have no idea what you’re on about with this. What exactly is the drama surrounding them?

I think the visage form plays perfectly into the Dracthyr fantasy. They were created to be soldiers to fight the primalists, but were abandoned and rejected. With their past gone, purpose lost, and no future, they have to discover who they are and who they want to be. So being able to change forms to suit who they are was a great idea. So yeah, I was kinda on the fence, but I changed my mind. I’m all in on being to fight in visage form. It suits Dracthyr. It’d be great if they added more race options, but that would be a pretty big undertaking.

They’re expanding the Dracthyr race to other classes, I don’t think evokers will be allowed to fight in their visage but other Dracthyr that are other classes will.

I would love if every shape shift form was purely optional.

Since when is Fyrakk a Dracthyr?

I think it’s stupid and Dracthyr should be fighting in lizard form. All this did was bring in more complaining from Worgen.

Worgen players demanding they fight in Human form instead of just playing a Human.

Meh, I play Drac’thyr because I want to be a dragon-person… not a human or elf with a couple dragon-y bits tacked on. I also think the the Visage Forms are one of the ugliest character models they’ve ever made.

But, some folks seem to really like the Visage Form, so :beers: to those who wanted this option. Ya’ll can play as your ugly looking elfs and humans; I can stay in dragon form. It’s good for the game to give players lots of options.
