isnt there a ‘high’ elf discord for that. if you truly wish to discuss this without hearing opposition or thread locks, that seems like the best place

The problem is that people like to argue for the sake of arguing, and that just leads to a lot of bickering back and forth on both sides. As for a solution… I have none at the moment. Only that I feel that this thread’s creation was a bad idea.
Trust me, I enjoy the threads getting locked just as much as you do. But as I’ve stated, creating superfluous threads only causes annoyance for most of the other users on the forums.
I wish Blizzard would do something about the flag bombing on threads (it was only open for a few minutes before it was closed again…) but it wouldn’t hurt to show some self-restraint. Pro-Helfers have a bad reputation for creating superfluous topics and causing heated circular arguments.
There are better ways of handling this.

Given how the conversation has shifted in the manner it did to the point where pro high elfers are also saying this thread is pointless and does nothing other than hurt their cause, how about we just delete the original thread and rename the title. That’d do this a hell of a lot better as a sign of good faith and actual well natured intent instead of leaving it up so people can fight back and forth.
I’m incredibly anti-helf. But I do give credit to the pro-helf posters who came in here and called this thread for what it is - that being nothing constructive.
Maybe if a certain fan of high elves didn’t make a stupid joke/accusation that went way over the line yesterday it might have survived a bit longer?

someone thought it would be clever to try and lay a question trap so they could straight up call someone racist.
This happened a few minutes before the lock last night so I have a feeling that there was a connection there.

Someone flagged me yesterday for saying show the love and support for Playable Alliance Quel’dorei, of course the MOD lifted it and said he look into who did it.

No one said anything racist.
Someone insinuated racism because antis don’t want to lose their “exclusivity” to their “fair skinned” elves.
In this case someone just called someone else racist.
It was right before the lock last night, and just the work of one person, but I think it’s the main reason that thread got locked, and if it got flagged enough might have helped the lock restart today.
I subscribe to the Zul’jin school of elven inclusion.
No Helves on the Alliance please.

Multiple flags lock a thread, so it was a lot of them over an array of posts, and considering the toxic circus 2 of your ilk held right before the lock, I’m not shocked.
There is no “main reason” a thread can be locked, it’s a build up system.
you do realize that there is a very popular request regarding undead elves for the horde right? It is actually fairly likely the horde is going to get those as an AR before we get high elves as they will probably be paired up with alliance undead.

Look, I brought it up because I was getting tired of seeing people just blanket accusing the people who don’t agree with you for locking the threads. Last night the thread that was active locked after a panda poster posted pretty much just “Oh so you’re a racist”
I’m not trying to insinuate that your movement is based on anything beyond wanting a cosmetic option in game, just that sometimes someone can say something stupid and over the line and get a thread locked. I’m just tired of getting blanket blamed for the thread locking when there’s plenty of other reasons.
