I’m gonna edit this out. I think it might fall under “discussing account actions.”
Sorry.

True. I’m just trying to find instances where people who had more than one game running were falsely punished but a lot of them look like they had a history with boxing programs.
I installed AutoIt on the 28th, that could be what flagged me. Also, a few days ago I was googling around trying to find an active Multiboxing community. Like I said, my game keeps crashing my desktop so I wanted to ask someone with experience if they ever had problems related to having a bunch of games opened at the same time. If Warden flagged me for that, that’s extremely dangerous. I wasn’t trying to cheat or gain an advantage through automation so idk why I would be in trouble for looking multiboxing up. It doesn’t make sense.
That alone won’t do anything to you. You would have to actually instal and use MB software or techniques. That includes ANYTHING to streamline multi account playing, not just full blown MB software. Hardware solutions are also no longer allowed to be used to streamline it.
Not wise to discuss on Blizzards forum on how to exploit.
To be fair though, Multiboxing is allowed. People can run more than one game client if they want and finding out how to do so within the rules, is also fine.
Googling “crashes with multiple wow clients open” is not going to get someone in trouble, nor should it.
We are allowed to run more than one. We just can’t use any software or hardware to streamline it.
Man oh man the things I could say.
you keep going off about moving files and updating windows, but none of those trigger warden.
having autohotkey installed, EVEN NOT RUNNING, will cause you problems.
even not running, there are registry entries and processes, both of what warden looks at.
If you do not use Autohotkey then why do you have installed? Like others have said this could be what caused your problem. If you want to keep playing wow you might consider removing it from your computer. Plus any other programs that might have been used for multiboxing.
Things like Isboxer will also get you in trouble.
He said in another thread that he never used ISBoxer. However, he was using something called “sniper”, which automatically scans for AH deals, I think?
If it’s what I think it is, it’s part of TSM.
Between having AutoHotKey and AutoIt on your computer, those both definitely can be the culprits that were picked up by Warden. I googled AutoIt and it can be used to create scripts for bots in various gaming programs including WoW.
Between having AutoHotKey and AutoIt and them saying it’s final you’re probably done with WoW
I see this topic has a solution marked from Mirasol, so I won’t touch on that specific part about appeals and such.
Having said that, by agreeing to the EULA for their games and platforms, you agree to not having any software, scripts etc, or other hardware that could facilitate botting or other forms of automated gameplay, installed on your computer.
- bots; i.e. any code and/or software, not expressly authorized by Blizzard, that allows the automated control of a Game, or any other feature of the Platform, e.g. the automated control of a character in a Game;
If you have something like AutoHotKey, or as you later mentioned; AutoIt, installed on your computer, this could very well be what caused them to take action, whether you intended to use it[for their services] or not. If this was the case in your situation, I couldn’t say.
If you also get reported frequently from multiple other users, and if they then check logs of your activity/actions, this, in combination, might also affect their decisions.
That doesn’t necessarily matter. It’s enough that you have it installed on your computer.
Installing the software on your computer doesn’t automatically trigger a ban/suspension within X days. It triggers/may trigger a report, which is sent for review. Perhaps they have different protocols for when they initiate a larger effort, vs day-to-day monitoring.
Could be for several reasons, varying reports from other players could very well be a factor. It could also be a consideration of what appears to be your main account, and they consider actions against that alone to be enough to make their point. Especially seeing as, from what you’ve said, this is your first time being actioned for a violation.
I’m just speculating here though. I couldn’t say for sure what their reasoning is.
