What Do Classic Enjoyers Have Against Hybrid Buffs (Classic+ Discussion)

Ok, now why does there have to be a balance druid in the raid?

Okay now why is it a problem if there is one?

Class balance is fine in Vanilla.

The ‘problem’ is Retail players viewing Vanilla from a Retail design perspective. In that “Every class needs to excel at every role in every form of content.” Vanilla wasn’t built that way, but all these players know is that Raiding is the entire game. And that couldn’t be further from the truth in Vanilla.

But even in that context, every class is perfectly viable to raid.

But the player base won’t so…

all specs are viable, they are just not the best in a way you want them to be. welcome to an old mmo

There isnt. We had 1 guy play booomy in the alt raid, also a shadow priest. But this guy is acting like we have to check every box of every spec in every raid. all of wow, people play the best spec, and some specs never get played. its just how its always been,

It’s not a problem. This is how the game was back then. There’s a server where it’s different. Leave this server for the people that want it be as close as it can be to the original

The bigger problem is people looking back at vanilla with rose colored glasses and ignoring that class balance issues were a huge thing back in vanilla which had major tweaks all throughout vanilla.

So people dont enjoy it… then want to change it… and welcome to the discussion

the problem is thinking a 40 minute raid once a week needs classes changes for it (nevermind the other hours of the game)

This is the biggest load of I’ve ever heard. It’s literally steaming.

what shaman spec is bad in raid but good in pvp?

Druid?

Paladin?

SoM had fewer changes than anniversary :expressionless:

Because they’re not here to have fun. They’re not here to enjoy the game.

They’re here to min/max every possible little thing, make the content as easy as can be, smoke through it, and log off.

This is Vanilla raids. Outside of tanks, you can run any comp and do just fine. But that’s not good enough.

SoM had actual content changes.

Fun is subjective, you might be fine playing a meme spec and sucking, some people don’t find that fun.

Which is an issue. But just because there’s already changes doesn’t mean we should be okay with even more changes.

If a spec is good at PvP does that mean they should be bad a PvE? Is that your point? Mage, Warrior, and Rogue are excellent in PvP and PvE as DPS.

this is a straw man.

I never asked you that. I asked you the best pvp spec.

please answer the quyestopn

Fury and combat are HORRIFIC in pvp but go on

arms and sub are horrific in pve

On general principle no, but there are other changes that would be fine along the lines of dual spec since they’re just QoL improvements or are gameplay improvements like removing debuff limits that don’t really change metas.
