Why did they go from gods in TBC 2’s to just MEH in Wrath? Can any experienced ferals clear this up for me?
as i can recall feral is a real deal in wotlk

From what I’ve read and seen on youtube, feral actually does decently enough in pvp and pve. I’ve seen youtube videos of ferals wrecking rogues and warriors and eating some casters like warlocks and boomkins. I’ve also seen videos of feral topping meters.

Since when did they become gods lol? They have like 2 viable comps for 2’s and neither are top tier, they weren’t even viable in s1 or s2.

i play kitty cleave with a really good feral and mechanic flaws are noteworthy

They are pretty meh in TBC and extremely good in Wrath.
Disc/feral is one of the best 2s comps
Kitty cleave is one of the best 3s comps
Ferals get instant clone, savage roar, instant roots/hibernate, survival instincts, higher bleed dmg and a passive slow from infected wounds.
is kitty cleave strong in wrath? that hypes me a lot
I remember them kinda sucking in Wrath pre ICC trinkets.
Got it already homie, although I will say good teams know to dispel predator’s swiftness so it’s up to good ferals to reliably get it off

Yeah Kitty cleave is very strong. It’s very dependent on the feral being top tier though
Easily on par with TSG and Turbo
There wasn’t enough good ferals back in the day to reliably have that information. It was one of the hardest specs to play in Arena
Hard to tell with warmane cause the only popular season on the server is s7/s8 when people already have PVE trinkets

Yeah, truth. I just wondered if they nerfed something to make them in my memory worse than in TBC for 2’s.
Not saying they were terrible, just that I feel like and remember then being just OK not “Great”
what i remember is when they removed the talent trees and rtied to bake things in and make tier talents, some lost the damage bonuses and such to where they weren’t the same… feral being one.

i could be wrong in remembering as well, but i think they replaced the talent trees later in wrath, feral was in a good place until that conversion.
Nah, QOTL for feral improves in every aspect going into Wrath.
Power shifting mana cost is drastically reduced
Cat form gets a charge
Brutal impact talent finally effects pounce
Bleeds can crit
Barskin glyph is insane
Predator’s swiftness is the best thing to ever happen to feral for the next 3 expansions for PVP
You cannot go wrong with Feral, and it will by far be the highest skill ceiling in the game.

They go from being bursty monsters thanks to Powershifting with the ability to Cyclone things to being bursty only during Berserk/TF usage but getting instant Cyclone/Healing with the new Predatory Strikes.
Feral is very good in Wrath, just different, and more difficult.
