Why is prot so hated?

I just think of it as a different playstyle healer, I guess it’s all about perception.

Because tanks masquerading as healers in arena should never ever be a thing. It happened once before in the pre wotlk patch and it was the absolute worst.

Ever since I quit maining survival and started maining prot in arena I’ve been having way more fun this xpac. I run prot/boomie in 2s but that’s just because that’s what my friend plays. Good luck and welcome to the team!

Because its the healers job to heal in pvp, not a tank that brings all of those defensives plus the healing output of an actual healer. Trust its just not healthy in wow pvp. It creates a lot of toxicity.

Prot doesn’t seem to bring more than any other healer really in terms of defensives or throughput (aside from MW but that’s MW being crap rn not prot being OP)

I had my best games with a prot in 2’s on my elemental shaman.

Fire mage, arms warrior prot paladin did extremely well in AWC too.

Forget all these whiners and haters. Prot is easier to deal with than an Hpal or ret right now anyway.

Keep a burst class alive long enough to melt them is my suggestion. Prot/ele was fun. I would imagine prot/fire and prot /Destro would play similarly
