I know people like to compare representation on the ladder, etc etc.
But how a spec performs in certain comps - compared to other specs performance in the same comp, is how Arena Tier lists have traditionally been formed.
To be S tier or even A tier, you have to have at least one comp that is very strong into most other comps, and for that to happen, your spec needs to fill a niche that bringing your specific spec is better than bringing another class/spec.
Currently there are 0 comps that bringing a Arms warrior makes the comp better than bringing another spec, this is why Arms is not good.
Mortal strike is not as effective as it once was, considering Arms has low burst/kill potential and so many other specs have reduced healing effects. Relying too heavily on teammates to land a kill 90% of the time.
Arms brings 0 utility that other specs cant do better, except for being semi-disruptive if left alone with 100% uptime.
Our main defensive ignore pain is falling off with scaling, “healing” for pretty much the same as last season, with 300k higher max hp.
Our utility comes on a 1.5m cd fear and short 3s dura 30s cd stun, wouldn’t call this better than pretty much any other spec.
People seem to die through intervene these days 90% of the time (who knows why) its pretty unreliable.
What does Arms bring? Sharpen is still good but not near as powerful as it should be, like it was pre-nerf.
Why would you bring an Arms over another spec? Definitely not for damage or utility.
I asked a question, what comp is better with Arms other than something else? did you miss that part? or can’t comprehend/read?
Why would i admit to being wrong, when people told me arms was good/fine at the beginning of the season, when i said it was not, and now the same people are saying Arms is bad. LOL
Sadly this is the problem with arms warrior ever since they started giving nearly every spec mortal strike for some reason.
It causes arms to be obsolete if it’s damage is weaker than the other melee, allowing people to just play with rogue/WW/DH/feral/survival and still have an MS, better damage, and better utility
Yes this is one of the several reasons why Arms is under-performing,
The 2nd and 3rd reasons are because of the crit damage nerf s2,
and because Arms secondary stats are not scaling well other than versatility, which is hard capped, and haste which is soft capped. Along with being a pure physical damage dealer.
