What classes will be most and least played?

I expect a huge surge for warlocks, hunters, and shamans. I’m guessing a decline for melee classes. What are you guys thoughts?

Most played is always the most played

Hunter

Hunter is historically the most played class in the game.

Most: Warlock / Hunter
Least: Rogue / Warrior

This is obvious, right?

Edit: The real amusing thought is how many warriors are going warlock lol. Classic had, what, 40% warriors? I’ve seen raids with like 20+ warriors in them. But 90% of them won’t touch TBC with a 10 foot pole because they’re literally meta slaves. They’re all going Warlock, right? If we see 40% warlocks in TBC and 6% warriors that will confirm my suspicions and this is just a hilarious thought.

I’m going warlock

But I played druid in TBC lol.

100% they are re-rolling Lock/Hunter.

I mean its not a shock, the vast vast majority, especially post BWL, of Warriors were literally just rolling to pump on meters.

You had even Rogues just roll warriors at that point.

Problem is, there simply isnt enough raid slots for those 20+ warriors.

3 or 4 locks tops.
3 or 4 hunters tops.
5 Shaman.

This will be tough. It’s the meta, but it rarely happened in TBC. Not enough Draenei shaman. You think literally 20% of Alliance players will be rolling Draenei shaman? It’s just not possible.

The super sweaty guilds will have their 5 shaman, maybe. But most guilds will be BEGGING in trade chat for a shaman or two to join their run.

Shamans, Hunters, Warlocks in that order

All Rogues wanting Warglaives too

Really? Yikes.

I was (and am) Horde side. We had our 5 all through T4-T6 content in TBC, and 100% will again.

Note: I am a Shaman. :stuck_out_tongue:

I mained this same Orc Rshaman Stonecastle throughout TBC. I remember being VERY popular in PuG raids lol. People always looking for shaman. On Alliance, 5 shaman per 25man raid is a pipe dream.

For pve focused servers: I think druids will be everywhere. Easy farming, great tanks, great healers, boomies support the locks, etc.

Pvp will have a lot of rogues and even mages moreso than locks imo. Druid healers will be a hot commodity in 2s as well.

I thought that may be the case Alliance side. I almost rerolled for it, but my buddy only plays War/Rogue, and he was screwed either way.

Warlocks and Hunters for sure.

Shamans will be the most in-demand, though the number of players willing to main the class will not keep up with the 5 per raid need. For every raid with a consistent 5, there will be many more constantly searching.

I think there will be a shaman shortage alliance side for maybe a month or so, but I leveled horde as soon as tBC was announced and a lot of people picked shammy/druid.

What classes will be most and least played?
FotM is far far far more prevalent now than it used to be even in TBC and WotLK.

Heck Classic Vanilla even showed the insane amount of Mages and Warriors that existed.

TBC is just gonna follow the numbers, which creates more information that inflates those numbers.

Locks will be popular in PvE and PvP. Most of the people who rolled warrior/mage in classic will roll Lock or Hunter in TBC for PvE based off what they just read from other people.

Melee will still be fairly popular as they were still good in PvE but absolutely brutal in PvP.

Hunters got so many improvements to the way their class plays. It’s really strong in all PvP but almost all the hunters are gonna be rerolls from PvE Mages and PvE Warriors, so they’ll probably still be low on representation based on FotM bible preaching alone.

In the beginning Warlocks and Hunters will be the highest.

As we progress in later phases you will see Mages making a resurgence as their gearing options improve. Arcane is strong in later phases of TBC.

Lowest pop will be rogues and warriors.

Why does everyone want Shamans for their raids?

Sure, I’m the last to know. But I’d still like to know.

Lust is party only
Shaman totems give things like spell hit, spell power, strength, and windfury

Like if a warlock has an ele in their party they can cut about 47 hit rating out of their gear and get more dmg

If they’re alliance, that goes up to 63 hit rating.

Hunters, easily.

Druids will have the lowest pop.
