I’m not disagreeing with u on that, just the method you used to justify it.
Blizzard has historically been very picky with data and using datasets like these won’t fly with them.
Anyway, i didn’t mean to go off like that nor argue, my bad.

Nice post and thanks for the work, my only suggestion is too possibly separate how certain specs are performing.
I do like the thought process of checking the number of people playing vs the ratings they’re able to achieve. As well as the fact that each class should have one spec that’s viable.
I only play healers so that’s all I’m looking at and priest is a bit odd, holy isn’t good but disc is so maybe it’s distorting the impression? Regardless, priests have a viable spec option and your method didn’t list them, so that’s good.
Regardless, your results are correct imo. Rsham and Rdruid need help.
I’m also confused by monks ranking, they outperform everyone for BG healing but always seem a bit lacking in the smaller team environments and you’re just focusing on RSS and 3’s which is where I’ve always felt they are lacking. This is the healer I almost never touch tho so I’m definitely lacking insight there.
The only variable that’s hard to take into consideration is how some classes being too strong makes others less/more viable although they may not need actually need buffs/nerfs. This could be the situation that’s making MW seem better due to BM being broken and being able to avoid trap by porting during the stun ( I haven’t logged on in over a month to actually experience this BM oppression tho ).
Either way, thanks for taking a different look to balancing vs the average analysis players do. Which is to just pick a graph that justifies their opinions and cry about it.
Having the majority of the damage profile coming from the hunter instead of pet melee means that disarms and cc on the hunter prevent more damage. If you’re looking at mostly single target damage profile, the melee damage of db and the things that proc with db is usually the highest damage by a significant margin, and it’s also the most toxic part of bm’s damage profile. It just makes sense to me that that would be where you’d want to start.

MW are heavily AoE ‘smart’ heal focused.
We benefit greatly from having more than 2 other players to heal.
Idk about buffs. But id love to see cc changes reverted. I just dont have fun as a melee (read rogue) with short interrupts & short cc.
Ive never cared about doing damage. I just like keeping people out of the game. Really pulled yhe rug out from under me. Id trade the entire damage kit for single charge dance / cc oriented sub rogue.
Basically wrath/cata/mop subtlety
where I’ve always felt they are lacking
Hello friend, thank you for kind words and constructive criticism, I do appreciate it!
MW was behind until 11.0.5 I think, but with the rework/buffs that have been implemented with it, they are still good in BBG, but also best healer in 3s/RSS. That is also why you see them lately often played by AWC multi class healer like Cdew and Lontar.
I am no expert in terms of healer, so my knowledge is just rudimentary. I can’t exactly tell you why exactly it has become the best healer. But Preservation is actually really close. I think it is one of those healers who does benefit from the current meta.
thanks for taking a different look to balancing
Much appreciated!

100% agree!
I just like keeping people out of the game.
But they hate it!
