then again i kinda find the allied race system a bit odd in general. cause all they did was reskin a few races or hardly change them at all, slapped on different racials and class options, and called that a new race. like Highmountain Tauren are just Tauren with moose antlers. Mag’har Orcs are just uncorrupted Orcs. Lightforged Draenei are just Draenei with extra white and gold to them. Dark Iron Dwarves are just fire-scorched Dwarves…
I’m not hating on anyone who likes the allied races, I just find it odd. Only allied races I really have an alt for are Vulpera (unique enough to stand on their own even if they use the goblin animations and skeleton), a couple Mag’har (I wanted a ‘pure’ warrior and shaman), and Kul Tiran (since i enjoy their druid forms, and the look of a Kul Tiran shaman is cool).
it is a bit odd. i am a lot odd. sorry for it and me.
Same boat on my rogue, I just say it’s kul tiran. I wish at the least they’d give us a customization option for accents. even if it still flags you as the base human it’d be nice to use the voice lines at least for the other kingdoms.
Yeah. I’m gonna be saying my Rogue is also a Kul Tiran, she’s just kinda in a similar field as Flynn, hence why I want a very pirate-y look and hoping those datamined items appear in the trading post
Warrior
Hunter
Outlaw Rogue.
I have both a Shaman and a Druid. For my Druid I like her bone looking cat form. But since I wanted to actually SEE my Kul’Tiran that’s why I also made a Shaman.
Monk, because fat belly = brewmaster
Combat rogue for pirate theme
Druid for unique forms
DK for the way they hold 2handers
Most human kingdoms have different cultures from one-another.
Gilneans (Worgen) have harvest witches, they can be druids, but don’t worship the Light and thus cannot be Paladins. They can still be priests, though.
Stormwind Humans, worship the Light, typical human kingdom with Paladins, but they don’t have that connection with nature- no druids.
Kul’Tirans, similar to Gilneans (they’re actually an offshoot of Gilneans that migrated out to sea) have had harvest witches, but also due to the Drust infleuence on the area, have Thornspeakers and thus can also be Druids. Again, no Light worship, no Paladins.
Also, KTs worship the sea instead of the Light, so Shaman (Tidesages) exist.
It’s all in the lore- even though they’re technically the same race, still very different. Like Orcs and Trolls and their various tribes.
I dont agree with adding body sizes to them. Especially when the standard human model is there with the exception of shaman/druid.
When my monk was a normal human I dressed her in the green heritage armor and put a pole arm on her from one of the bfa dungeons that matches and just pretended she was from Kul Tiras.
Warriors for Footman/Knights/Tidesaga guards/Maines and etc.
Shamans, Warlocks, Priests, and Mages for Tidesagas, Tide Priests, War Mages and etc.
Hunters for Marksman/Ranger/Witch Hunter and etc.
Rogues for Witch Hunters/Pirates/Outlaws, and etc.
Druids for Thornspeakers.
Druid, shaman, mage and rogue honestly.
Druid because of their unique take. That being more closely linked to the death side of life. Shamans because it is the closest you will get to a tidesage. Mage because our racial leader is one (Jaina). And rogue (mainly outlaw) because pirates.

All but one allied races are just a different spin on an existing core race. Hence why they are allied races. That includes Earthen since they are pre-corrupted dwarfs (curse of flesh). And all but one share the same skeleton as core races.
Vulpera and Kul Tirans are the exceptions respectively. Vulpera share the goblin skeleton but have no relation to goblins. Kul Tirans have their own skeleton but are still humans and are not able to change that, unlike say Worgen.
In hindsight, a couple of allied races could’ve just been customization options for core races. Such as Lightforged Draenei, Highmountain Tauren, Dark Iron Dwarfs etc. While others like void elves and Nightborne don’t really work in that way since they are designed to be “X core race but on Y faction”. Where Y is not the same faction that X is on. Those being Night Elves for Nightborne and Blood Elves for Void Elves. But since Kul Tirans do have a completely different skeleton, I think they work fine as a different allied race. Likewise for Vulpera w.r.t actually being a completely different race that happens to share the same skeleton of a core one.
