Hah, I made a thread asking this exact question not long ago! I have a rogue, but he never quite clicked for me. In hindsight I think hunter suits them best. Traps, bombs, guns. Although during the thread I did see a lot of support for rogues, and it did actually make me think of an angle that works in my head canon - chemicals, like for their poisons, are also a type of engineering! So thematically it does actually also sit nicely with goblins. I still haven’t gotten around to leveling him though. Not enough hours in the day.
i just went hunter and shaman. since shaman seemed fun and such, and hunter of course the engineering fits well with. just, gotta find me a mechanical pet. i haven’t tamed anything yet cause i did the old starting zone, and they had nothing i could tame. didn’t want an actual pet either.
I’m an engi gob shaman and have zero regrets.
