Sadly I can’t work from home to replace a water heater or unclog a building lol
You made assumptions without any actual information.
It honestly varies. Because of such a wide coverage area it can be a lot of windshield time.
Sometimes I find a building that’s got a foot of water in the first floor and it’s a city sewer issue so I’m there waiting in the truck for the city to get there. It’s why my posting times fluctuate
“Casual” as in “filthy casual” used by the likes of WoW developers Tigole and Ion and early community pillar Elitist Jerks always meant “non-raider” and was meant to denigrate those who didn’t raid as lacking a fundamental understanding of how the game worked (there wasn’t as much reliable info on the web back in the EQ and early WoW days, so the forum posts of raiders carried a fair amount of authority).
The idea of casual as meaning raidlogger with little time /played was created by Gevlon the Greedy Goblin, a Hungarian weirdo who quit the game in Cata and is largely forgotten now.
No…funny how these solo players draw the line at group content accessible by anyone that has paid for a sub. I don’t do group content therefore I’m a casual player
Like you step into raid once and suddenly you’re no longer a casual player, myself and everyone I play with put in about 5 hours into the game a week but I guess we’re all hardcore players since we’ve done group content.
This is incorrect, casuals (99.9%) want to randomly barf rainbows when walking.
Casuals want to be abducted by random winged creatures while doing any activity, then dropped from just high enough to kill their characters so that they have to run back.
Casuals want to experience raid, but only the last boss and only on mythic difficulty with a LFG tool and no control over what classes come. Also there is no way to communicate.
Casuals do not want a tank and healer in their groups every time, or DPS for that matter. Casuals want to roll the dice on what they get and just go with the flow.
Casuals want to be forced to eat a bowl of cereal every time they log in or the game immediately logs them out. Only Blizzard branded frosty souls cereal though.
Casuals want an Authenticator that requires a password to get a password for a password so they can log in to the game and enter a new password for their old password every time.
Casuals just want to be heard. These are all facts.
OP, You do not speak for all casuals, just yourself.
Not a fact. Far from it.
What even is this? Outdoor M+? I never asked for that.
I agree with this.
Somewhat agree. But, if you are grouping with friends and you are still getting that toxic hate… well you may need to rethink those friends
Okay but usually if you die whatever you were fighting goes back to 100% health. would you want it to remain at the lowered state until you truly quit the fight?
Agreed mostly
Iʻm too casual for “moreso than M+” level of intensity.
Overall, an interesting point of view but since I, a self-proclaimed “casual”, disagree with a few points it is hardly representative of all casuals.
I’m casual. I play 5-6 hours a week and primarily engage in catchup and LFR. Level through 5 mans almost exclusively (thanks time walking!). I don’t think I want anything that’s being discussed in the OP though. I just wish timewalking rotated every single week indefinitely for my single pull at heroic gear.
Heck I don’t even gather like I used to because I hate getting the dragon started over. and over. and over.
Just here to have fun and destress while slowly turning blues into purples. Leveling alts, always leveling alts. My paladin is 365 just needs head gloves and weapon, maybe trinket. Cannot wait for 10.1, I will bring up my mage next and get this character linked into whatever the new catchup scheme happens to be.
I am a solo player but dont think of myself as a casual thats why i asked, i am playing 8 - 12 hours most days (retired) and i think of casual as someone who is online less
