What can we expect for the new HC+?

I’m actually a little worried about this issue, after what they gave us in phase 3 I’m afraid that Blizzard will decide to just play it safe and give us HC+ with +20% damage and +100% health It’s silly, but we have to admit that more of the same just becomes monotonous and boring.

It is a catch-22.

People dislike affixes and people dislike just raising health and damage to match the gear of the people who are suppose to be doing it so it remains a challenge.

I agree, shallow and pedantic.

There’s no way they will do another 100% health increase. That was such a bad choice in the first place but especially so when its not even equivalent to the damage increase we are getting from this phase. Going from 34k dps on chimaeron in a 3:30 fight to 42k dps on Shannox in a same length fight is not even a 100% increase with a legendary and I wont even need the catchup gear – in fact its not even a 100% dps increase from killing heroic Chimaeron week 1. I have no faith in these devs, but I simply do not believe they would do 20% damage and 100% hp again, for that would be utterly and completely incompetent.

300% increased hp
min ilvl to queue: 350
so every fight takes 10 minutes. i hope you’re ready for 2 hours deadmines run

It is frustrating when players cheat and exploit their way into PvE content by using PvP gear instead of actually doing the grind. This behavior is likely to become more rampant, especially with Blizzard adding 377 BoE blue PvP gear in the next phase.

They slightly enhanced the dungeons compared to how they were at the launch of the original Cataclysm.

Most of the resources for Classic are spent on SoD. We have three interns running on hamster wheels working on Cata.

Item level requirements should be at least 375+

That would be a complete disappointment.

Well there’s a really easy fix the PVP problem and I thought they did it back in the day I wasn’t cataclysm but I thought I remember hearing that they were going to be removing the item level from PVP gear or somehow setting it so that in a PVE essence PVP gear gave an item level of zero that could still be implemented.

I made a post on this topic and explained how it was exploitative behavior. It was not well received, and the usual individuals attempted to argue that it wasn’t. After pointing out their contradictions numerous times, they then tried to derail the topic.

Welcome to the Deadmines!

I didn’t know they did that… if that is the case. Blizzard should already have the tech for it.

Do this.

This was done in WoD, but we are currently on a Legion build, so they do have the technology to implement this feature.

Yeah I agree because you’re wasting stats on resilience which you’re useless for PVE content I honestly want to see resilience on an item make the item level zero.

I don’t think any PvP requires an item level amount to get in so it would have no impact on the PVP scene but trying to game the system with PVP pieces would actually hurt you. No I’m not saying this is always a problem My Hunter the fourth one I’ve got the 85 he’s wearing a couple pieces but I also know what I’m doing I reforged it all and it’s all enchanted and I’m not trying to run infernos with it I’m just queuing it for normal heroics while I get to justice points to replace those handful of pieces The problem where comes from of course the people that don’t know what they’re doing with their class then insist on going in with PVP gear and do like 5K DPS I wish there was a way to make it so the people that suck got punished why the people that know how to do it and a responsible with it and can still play their class properly aren’t punished but that’s not going to happen.

Huh, now that I think about it. This is how heirloom gear functions.

Generally speaking pre-max level dungeons they are the best piece of equipment you could have., but they all present as ilvl 1.

It also becomes an issue when moving from Wrath normal dungeons to Cataclysm normal dungeons. As those dungeons require a minimum of 230 ilvl. So you are basically barred from doing them until you replace your shoulders, chest, weapons, trinkets, and a ring with Cataclysm quest gear. Even then you may not make it in if you want to keep the helm and cloak for the bonus 15% exp.

Yeah that’s an issue with the heirloom gear but right now level 78 to 80 greens that are cat eye level are also really really really cheap same thing with the rings and necks because people make those for leveling up dual crafting still you can get the green versions for basically nothing you can even get the blue item level 300 versions for the rest of my looked 50 60 gold.

Last tune I transitioned over I just bought a bunch of greens to replace her at the lich King leveling here I think it cost me like 300 gold

This is not a real issue because as long as you have higher ilvl gear in your bags you can still use the hierlooms. Since the ilvl is based off your bags.

They should just leave them the same, the dungeons are already annoying even with groups where everyone does 25k+ single target.

In general, you will not have that ilvl gear immediately. As Wrath leaves you at 180 ilvl.

Go to the AH and buy some greens. The issue does not lie with players leveling alts in Cataclysm and participating in dungeons while leveling.

The real problem arises when they hit 85 then buy boe PvP gear to exploit and circumvent the item level requirements for PvE content. With Blizzard introducing 377 BoE PvP blue items, this issue is likely to persist.

TRUE! Finally the AI is agreeable (obvious sarcasm cause I changed the quote). Anyways, buying gear so you can gear up further is not exploitative. Go away bot.

You do know that it is against ToS to change what someone says and quote it right?
