What benefit is there to playing warrior

If it’s not a DPS spec then what are you, considering I doubled your DPS on Thorim?

Again since soft-brained paladins aren’t getting it:

I played prot since level 10. I swapped to fury MS at phase 2 because Prot Paladins are OP and you can’t MT as anything apart from Paladin. I currently run two specs across a single raid and I think do a fine job doing it since many warriors only run fury.

Can your soft brain figure that out?

Edit: I’ve also never suggested fury is in a bad place because I think they will scale eventually. My point is that warriors don’t bring anything to to the table and given they’re basically a sword and board as tanks with no utility… Blizzard should account for that in how effective they are as a cookie cutter tank. But instead they gave all the things they should have given to warrior, to paladins.

I hope things get better for you man. Get that Commanding Presence talent and head off to the Warrior Discord for more tips and tricks. If you improve your gameplay a bit, your spot in your raid team may even be justified one day. Ineptitude can almost always be overcome!

Good luck, friendo!

Shove your sympathy where the sun doesn’t shine. Enjoy your overtuned class that has been buffed on the back of your paladin brethren whining on the forums.

Imagine defending warrior’s lack of utility with commanding shout alone. I could name five abilities every other class has that provides utility to a raid.

Utterly ridiculous brain-soft paladin.

Fury is pretty unique in what it does.

Prot warrior has more defensives and most other tanky classes and even has 2 heals that’ll allow em to absorb more and give the healer some free time.

The class has a lot of potential but you really gotta dig into it. Figure out rotations and whatnot

That’s literally it, though.

Than whom?

This is the way.
I wish more people would have just played their class for the sake of their class, and not tier lists.

Especially given that it’s extremely rare that the tank tier list actually matters in any real sense.

Very few bosses push your rank survivability to the limits.

That was true in TBC as well, but didn’t stop every guild from using bear MTs

Warrior players are the coolest and most manly beef boys :muscle: :muscle:

Warriors lack magic mitigation. And paladins bring self-brez & dsac.

Anyway, not the point. The point is that a lot of people think that if they play meta, it will suddenly make them a better player.

The reality, if you suck, you will suck no matter the racial.

Bruh you need to find a new game or something. This is just a fun distraction from life. We’re not defining our personalities around what the little fella on the screen does, and you shouldn’t either. It’s unhealthy.

Unless you’re a ret paladin

So as a fury… Should you choose to do so, you could….

Charge and stun
Thunderclap and slow AS
Piercing howl and slow MS
Demo shout and lower targets AP
Commanding shout buff everyone in raid

F***ing Rend!

You can sunder armor up to 20%
Shattering throw another 20%
Bandage the healer
Tea Bag the dead Warlock

And…. Win the day… But not you… You choose to complain and cry….

:bat:

Pretty amazing how non-warriors know his class better than he does.
No wonder he parses gray.

I’m not honestly getting the issues, I’ve been tanking on this character since TBC, and it’s essentially the same character I made in the original TBC and tanked through Wrath too, and I’ve recently built an okay Fury set, I’ve very little complaints and the changes I would like are nitpicky at best.

Prot: Challenging shout actually taunt instead of just “Force them to focus on me for 10 seconds or whatever”
I dunno, slightly shorter cooldown for shockwave? /shrug.

Fury: Lemme use Whirlwind in Battle Stance and Shattering throw in Berserker, or even just the first, the 3% crit is meh when I’m already sitting over 35%, I’d rather have the free 10% armor pen

Hmm…maybe longer duration for the shouts? Same for horn of winter probably.

But really, I think it’s fine as-is, honestly the only thing I’d really like the changes on is Fury cause so few buttons, often waiting on CD’s, but I won’t even attempt to claim being good at Fury, it just comes in handy for a small number of fights that really only need the one tank.

Its amazing when a warrior enters the conversation that is not Bladetsar - and i have to agree with everything.

All of your suggestions i would agree a 100% should be implemented.

I would also add sunder armor passive, its the worst debuff in the game to apply if you are not a protection warrior tanking, and is griefing everyone that has to apply it or a comparable debuf, no matter if its a warrior or rogue.

Honestly, the main reason to keep playing a warrior is that you enjoy playing a warrior. If you’re looking more for extrinsic reasons, then there probably aren’t very many at this point. Either reroll, or hold out until ICC.

I played a Ret paladin in Vanilla, when we were practically a useless spec (OMG BUT YOU HAD HOLY- Bladestar)

I played it because I liked playing a knight/crusader who used 2 handed weapons. Still do in fact.

That’s my answer to you. If they took away the buff we got, I’d still play it.

I assumed you liked playing a warrior because of class fantasy, but you’ve just admitted to rerolling to a paladin. So you don’t care about warrior class fantasy, and are more concerned about numbers, exactly the thing that you accused Ret paladins of doing.

You even rerolled to the FOTM.

Hypocrite.

Posting in a git gud thread.

The only real upside for warrior is PVP but since BGs are ruined by BOTs that is kinda out of the question. Also warrior is not fun in PVP unless you have a healer because people focus you like crazy because your damage is so high. You can actually delete people in a couple of globals. Your mobility is also insane.
